ZOS please! Werewolf form doesn't last NEAR long enough!

So I finally got around to really testing out the WW, and while I love the skill tree in principle, for lore and RP purposes and the 15% regen buff alone, and the ultimate shapeshift IS incredibly fun, the duration is sadly nowhere near what it needs to be for this to be on par with the vampire and other ultimates.

To test this, I fully leveled WW to 10, and invested ALL points in the tree. I then went on a killing rampage, using all abilities, feasting for more time, with the pack leader morph for more time, and weaving in heavy attacks for more time.

The result? I was able to kill the same number of the same NPC's in less time just staying out of form not using ANY ultimate. This is simply UNACCEPTABLE.

ZOS, you need to at least double the duration of the WW transformation. I know a lot have said this, yet we are nearing the 1 year mark and no increase seems forthcoming. Heck, for some people the current duration barely gives their brains time to adapt to what is on their bar to even really make use of it.

Can we get a word on whether this is something you plan to do in the future? Vampire has access to all their powers all the time, AND a vastly superior ultimate (at least for AOE).

It really doesn't seem very fair.

Fix'd. I still like the idea of the werewolf ultimate costing more, being a toggle, and having a compulsory transformation for 30 or so seconds when the ultimate is all filled up. That way you'd have to transform to keep your ultimate, kill people as a beast to slake your lust for blood and maintain your humanity, like what vampires have to do now; that'd also get rid of folks taking werewolf for the stamina regen alone, and it would actually feel like you're playing a werewolf. I don't think this would be at all fair either. Vampires get ALL their powers ALL the time. The passive Supernatural Recovery gives them 10% stamina AND magicka regen ALL the time, without having the ultimate or ANY vampire abilities slotted!

On top of that they get run speed sneaking ALL the time!

The Undeath passive gives them damage mitigation when under 50% health ALL the time.

Taking away the werewolf's one passive 15% stamina regen that they get for the 99.9% of their time they aren't in the 10sec WW transformation would be cruel and unusual punishment.

Fortunately ZOS have stated they do NOT plan on removing it.

Humm, I just meant, it's silly for people to have a 15% bonus for something they won't ever use or see the downsides of. Werewolves only take a poison damage hit in werewolf form- so in human form you've pretty much got your 15% stamina buff and nothing else to show that you're a werewolf.

I don't play vampires but I'm pretty sure they also have a substantial weakness to fire, as well they should. Vampires seem more like they really ARE vampires, that vampires are a big part of the character- strengths and weaknesses included. Werewolves, not so much. I personally would prefer werewolves to be a playstyle choice rather than a min-max tool. That's all I was getting at. If you want the advantages you have to tackle the disadvantages too- so in this case, perhaps a poison weakness in humanoid form as well if they keep the stamina buff in.

Just discovered something after tweaking addons a bit. The amount of time you get from feeding on fallen foes is actually pretty significant, however you have to sit there and let it go through the whole animation, until you raise your bloody mug, or you get no extra time for it.

I think part of the problem I was having is that I was coming out of the feeding animation too fast to dodge attacks and not getting the extra time.

That said, I would settle for a shorter feeding animation.

Yeah, WW is very hard to use in PvP because of the time constraints unless you have a big pack. I think it would be cool if while in WW form the player is able to scale walls that would be awesome.

One thing that I do really like from the 1.6 build... and this is immediately relevant to your interests. Blood Rage has been changed. On live you gain ultimate for being hit, which gets you into werewolf mode faster. But, on 1.6 it extends your transform by 3 seconds (initially with a 5 second cooldown, and once upgraded with a 3 second cooldown.)

While this won't let you stay a wolf forever, it does mean being a wolf in combat is mostly free. Since you will be hit at least once every 3 seconds. It's only being a wolf outside of combat where your transform starts to decay.

Also, with 1.6 the werewolf feels a lot beefier to me. They don't kill faster than by build, but they are a lot harder to take down.

Bro...vamps 40% more fire dmg is crazy xD in pvp they wreck me with silver bullets...im Vamp only cuz i hate "Team Jacob"...and Vampires aka "Team Edward" is MUCH more gay..thats why im vamp...

Vamps are only better in terms of gayness and thats why im vamp, everything else sux..actives sux, hp regen sux, and sneak speed passive is ok and regen magicka and stamina is ok...but gayness is op

I never use WW form, it is simply to short a duration for me to even use.

if it lasted through a few fights before I started to eat things Id care about that ultimate..

I don't kill any faster, I kill at the same speed but even more at a time

the only advantage Ive even seen is the animation.. at least that looks cool

The WW transformation is cool, I too wish it could be a little longer, but the real downside for me that I have found is that, when faced with mobs, the ult is so easily interruptible. It takes a few seconds to transform and if you get hit in that time, you have effectively just wasted the ult altogether.

I have never seen any other of my ults be interrupted, though it may just be me, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong

I really, really, REALLY wish players would realize that BOTH vampires and werewolves are badly implemented and BOTH need a lot more work to make them actually FUN to play. Pointing fingers at each other and saying, "Those guys have it better!" on either side is flat out incorrect. Werewolves and vampires belong together and we should have a united voice in bringing ZOS's attention to the problems with BOTH our beloved supernatural critters!

Now as this is a werewolf thread and not a vamp thread, I'll confine myself to speaking of werewolves. WW should have BOTH the 15% Stam regen AND the 40% poison weakness in human form. This would reflect that they ARE, in fact, werewolves. The curse does not magically leave them when they are not transformed. The other abilities should remain available only IN werewolf form AND that Ult DOES need to last a whole lot longer.

For those who roleplay as werewolves I HOPE the crown store will offer a werewolf polymorph costume. This costume should NOT work in Cyrodil as I can see players using it to fool others into thinking they have their Ult going and start using abilities that are targeted towards werewolves when they in fact have something completely different on their bar at the time. A range of fur colors for that polymorph costume would be nice as well.
