Is there any way to upgrade V10 gear to V14?

I played a lot at release, got V10, and got full V10 golden set items crafted.
So you can probably see how screwed i felt, when they raised the vet levels first to 12 and 14.
I quit the game for a while, but now im back for 1.6.
Starting over on a new alt - but also still sad about my now v14 sorc running in full gold v10 gear =(

Is there any way to upgrade that gear, or is it all over from scratch?

The easiest way is to craft some V14 gear and then start doing trails or DSA for some good dropped gear.

You can't change the item level. You just need to get new gear or use your old one.

Some people try to wait it out till vet levels are removed. They think that when all items are scaled to level 50, their old gear becomes useful again. That is not how it is going to work though. Item level will change but the stats stay the same so vr14 will forever be better than vr10.

[EDIT] Upgrading item level would make a nice cash shop feature though.

You must be god to be able to see into the future like that Since even ZOS said that they don't know yet how the transformation of vet ranks will work.

For all we now, it may even be a change from V14 to Lvl 63, with new max level 65. Would mean that even the current V14 Armor would become useless for min/maxers.

Not a god but always right about almost everything. You can just take it from me or wait and see it yourself. It won't make a difference.

That would be a terrible cash shop feature.

Being able to upgrade, even if you can't push an item above it's material limits, (IE no pushing armor from Quicksilver to Voidsteel, or Orichalum to Dwarven), would be a fantastic option in game, however. And do wonders for letting people use stupidly rare stuff like Dwemer gear for more levels.
