1/ Complete craglorn main story arcs both lower and upper.

2/ Be accepted into a trial run (a guild or random) without having an achievement beforehand.

Easier said than done?

Depends. What veteran rank are you? You have less than 23 days before the 1.6 update goes live, by the way.

More and more guilds are completing trials regularly. It shouldn't be hard to find a group willing to take you. From time to time, I see PUGs in Craglorn zone chat looking for people. Good luck and welcome back.
I'm 12, and what is this?

lower crag can be a mare to find a group for upper is simples as they learned and now ppl can help at any quest stage. as for trials my guild has stopped running them for now as the loot nerf and upcoming leaderboard reset means time is better spent prepping for 1.6. however as long as you can pull around 700 dps its not too hard if you are a tank the bosses aren't to tricky healers I don't know but we have pugged them and its been fine. so if you can find a guild still running them it shouldn't be to hard to get an inv.

If you're V12, you should be able to find a group. Lots of guilds recruit in zone chat, especially in the capital cities. Join one, get a few runs in, find a better guild, join it. Running pledges is a great way to build your cred too - get in a group, prove your worth, ask for advice, ask for an invite. When I returned after my hiatus, it took me about 2 weeks to find an active guild.

Easier said than done, I always find most guilds are either reluctant to take players fresh to trials or they have 2 months of full raids on their calenders due to over recruiting. Trying to find one that actually needs players for trials (and not any other purpose like cyrodiil) is actually a hard thing.

I assume you have a Vet level character?

1 - Lower Craglorn should not be hard to do. I just finished it on my alt when she was V4 and two of my mates were V2 and V5 respectively, with the 4th spot being filled by guildies who were available to help. Upper, you may want to be at least V6, I think, but if you are a really good player, you can always give it a try.

2 - Join a guild that has training runs or keep an eye out in zone chat for groups looking to fill their ranks for a training run. You may not complete it on the first try, but if you get a good group, they are lots of fun anyway. But usually they require you to be V12+ for trials.

Small update I finally found a group that was doing the celestial investigator and got two quests done, however just before the last boss of "The Shattered and the Lost" one player pulled the classic AFK half way between quest stages that usually plagues these runs but we managed to three man it and finish the quest. Now I'm on the hard part of actually finding 3 players do to the missing guardian quest.

As for trials I still haven't seen nobody advertise a run without "have weekly time trial completed..."

Since all theses quests give good CP points, most players who already have one maxed toon are waiting to after patch 1.6 before doing theses on an alt.

@infraction2008b16_ESO There are lots of good guilds out there which will happily take people along on trials who haven't done them before.

EG: my guild has a couple of trials nights each week... we do several runs, and at least one or two of those are 'sh*ts & giggles' runs where we just have fun, chill, and help new players or those new to trials. Then we have one or two where we try and do a reasonable time.

If you let us know which side of the ocean you are on (NA or European server) as well as which faction then I'm sure people could suggest a few decent guilds that could help. Getting into a good guild that suits you is def the best way to go...
