Whats the point in subbing for this game after it goes b2p, I just cant see it. For me it looks like everybody plays for free, and first when the first DLC gets released it becomes something worth considering.

Right now it seems like a waste of money, since there aint any difference in access and anything or am I getting it wrong, crowns......bahhh if thats the only reason

The only reason to pay sub now is for what ever they decide to give us for free. In the old days we would pay the sub for two reasons, to play the content in game and support the team making the content. Right now am not sure what the heck am supporting.

I know I wont be paying per month. Ill pay if they ever release anything worth buying. Im not into cosmetics. So Im talking content like dungeons etc. Quests. I doubt they will be able to put out much content after they release the stuff they held back from us last year. So I figure it will be cheaper to just buy the content as it comes out rather than pay them $180 a year.

Plus if they ever put out new "loyalty" rewards they will let us buy them so Im not worried about that either.

If you sub, you get 1500 crowns per month subbed. This could be a way of banking those crowns for later use rather than buying them later. When they stop producing new content and/or vanity items, it will no longer be worthwhile to sub.

1500 crowns is prob around $15. So to me since I only want to buy quests etc and not cosmetics pointless to buy it. I can just spend the $15-20 whatever the DLC costs. Thats IF I think its worth it. Ill definately wait for sales etc on the stuff. Read reviews make sure Im not buying buggy boring content.

My sub goes into May. I have not yet decided whether I'm going to allow it to renew for another 6 months or not. Of course the pancreatic cancer might kill me by then which would make that decision for me.

There's a 10% XP, research time, and Gold drop rate increase if you're a subscriber. Which is, not entirely trivial.

You also get the 1500 crowns each month... which is enough to nab some toys from the Crown Store. It looks like that's going to be 15 bucks worth, too. Which, if you're going to be spending 15 bucks in the crown store, makes the subscription a better deal.

No need for confusion, it's quite simple. The company is courting a different kind of customer now with consoles and the B2P/ cash shop model.

Many current customers prefer the subscription only model for a wide variety of reasons and don't find the new model that appealing. There's really not much in the new model for people who have been there from the beginning because this isn't targeted at us. We are the minority compared to all the new potential players. I think the intent is for us to hop on the cheer train for the new model and pay up, or don't. Our subs are just a drop in the bucket with what they're forecasting they're going to rake in from the new target customer base so it doesn't matter very much.

You got that part right. They have slapped the long term subs in the face so much that we have bruises. Over and over they have made it VERY clear people who have been here and paid since the beginning are second class to new people coming in. From the loyalty rewards to the insult of only 100 crowns per month subbed they have proved it over and over. We are not appreciated nor wanted.

The sub is definately valuable. Consider there are diff types of customers who all have diff needs and expectations.
This model is the best opportunity for multiple types f customers which seemingly will prove it's worth in late 2015

for me xp boosts, and gold boost, aint good enough to stay as a sub, due to I can level a char fast enough if I like.

and if I want costumes I could buy some crowns to do that from time to time, I just having a real hard time seeing any real benefit from staying subbed until first DLC is released

Ill sub for the boosts. I dont like to think about my sub money supporting the people who lied to me about this game so often, but I pay taxes too, soo. . .

Considering you'll be able to outright buy the new content as they become available, I don't see the point of subscriptions either. The good news is that we'll know exactly where our money is going.

I subscribed because I wanted the game to keep going. Now that I know that I payed a year's worth just so that they could open up a cash shop, I don't think I'll ever subscribe once Unlimited launches; I'll just buy the CONTENT that comes out; piece by piece.

If a bunch of boosts is what warrants your 15$, by all means.

Sorry to hear about your pancreatic cancer. Do live life to its fullest while you can.

I am also subscriber to May. I will wait until then to decide whether I continue or not. Like a few others, I am a little disappointed in the way they have treated those who were here from the start. I, however, take solace in the knowledge that the cash shop will work. Look at the number of people who bought game cards to get the kitty. Rotate the crown store digital inventory on a regular basis and they can sell all kinds of cosmerics. More money, more game.
