A Easy Way To Slow Down Zerging From Keep To Keep...

Hello everyone and welcome to this idea that struck me in the midst of drinking coffee and looking at one spot on the map that could be useful for what they are built for.
Mile Gates; The gates were built by imperial's before the war and seems that they are damaged at the current state, But! with a little love and care these gates could be slowing your enemy's down and making some very interesting battle's so here how this would work.

Where They are Located
Chalman would own the Mile Gate's between Chalman and bleakers outpost.
Ash would own the mile gate between Ash and Nickel outpost.
King's crest would own the very north gate
And any other keeps would own there respected mile gate or bridge.
[Now there is a problem on the keeps like there are no Mile gate in between sejanus and BRK or Alessia. Which now would either need one of two, 1: a new mile gate,2: use the bridge as a mile gate.]

How They Would Work
The gates would need current keep gate repair kit's to be repaired up to there full health which would be almost the same health as keep gate's and would upgrade with the keep's upgrade's over time. The distance of Defense Ticks for keeps would need to be stretched over to the gates and or make new areas for gate defense ticks. The walls of the Mile gate should be like resource tower, they crumble but they can't be destroyed completely. When gate is broken down it falls to the ground and lets people through fire and flames. A flagged symbol would appear on the gate if its being seiged.

What Effects Would This Do?
This would make it seem like your fighting for parts of the map and make traveling roads a little safer. Also this would make battles last longer, keep's would be more important as they would provided critical defense spots. This also would balance the current issue of when a Zerg is charging a poorly defended keep due to numbers in the server or due to the focus of the faction is somewhere else.

How To Get around the Mile Gate.
You and your buddy's could siege it and bring down the gate to get through it. Or you could walk to another gate that is already down. My main idea is they could introduce a siege equipment that is Like the Helepolis en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helepolis
to make it possible to get over the wall's without destroying it to hell.

Constrictive Criticism Is welcomed and any suggestion that stays on topic is allowed, I don't want this to escalate into any flaming between each faction since this is a fix that a lot of people long for and I want to see it happen.

    More map objectives with significance have been suggested since release. I always did find the gate interesting but ultimately somewhat lackluster. Redesigning them and Turing them into mini-Keep Gates could be interesting, but you would have the no-mans land from BRK to Alessia. Could also be done with Scroll Gates. Might make things more interesting, might all just get zerged through...

    Sounds like more infrastructure for the already static game play that is PVP. Ash,Nikel,Roebeck/Aleswell,Bleakers,Chalman/BRK,Sej,Allessia. Couldnt get more boring this this idea imo. Fun at first then BAM. Same ol' same ol'.

    Honestly this sounds fun, actually having a siege take place on Alessia Bridge, although I'd rather just have the bridge be destructible, as you can hop across the water anyway. Destructible bridge slows down zergs and lets you pick them off as they swim through fishies.

    Going by that logic, the ground beneath the mile gates between AD-DC and DC-EP should become Oblivion vortexs once destroyed to prevent travel as well. Sounds like so much fun....

    To be honest it would at least add something to us red headed children of eso since we have been ignored by @ZOS for any PVP improvements to the map since launch....

    Instead of completely destroying the bridge, you could make the towers crumble, making any oil defense impossible, and also creating a few holes on the bridge itself, so you'd have to be careful not to fall through while walking/riding on it

    I really like this idea.

    Combined with additional incentives to hold keeps, I think it could really open up the game to more interesting play.

    Contrary to what some people seem to think, I believe that making front lines more static and defense more important would actually help encourage the small scale PvP that many crave.

    Zergs running all over the map (aka zerging), and keeping things in a constant state of flux actually makes it harder to find fights outside of those zergs.

    Edit: Maybe a longer lock-out on porting to and from a keep that has recently been captured would help too. You would have to commit forces to capturing something, rather than zooming all over the place.

    I like the idea of using those gates to slow down the impulse blobs of ginormous lag.

    Gate ticks...+1
    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    Sorry but you will never see your ideas in the game, because ZOS said that they will never release a PvP content patch, only PvE.
