And I rarely use SS as a NB Healer, but I was just making the point that on my Sorc I love it compared to SS, and I'd love to have it on my NB to use instead of SS.

Nobody I know uses DE. Even in Sanctum or 3rd AA boss, where in theory SS is dangerous to use, all you do is to self cast a quick HoT and easily outdo the health drop. The penalty / inability to self heal in fact only applies to heals cast after SS, so an HoT casted before it shall work at full.
Also, eating your stamina in SO is a Bad Thing.
