Can you craft better gear than you can find?

As long as you ignore Undaunted and Trial gear for example, made by unknown crafters with better skill than a master Crafter. Presumably Aliens...

Almost all the recommended pvp builds you will see in various websites and on youtube are starting to recommend at least a couple of pieces of pve dropped gear.

I would prefer all crafted myself, since I just like to pvp and don't care much for pve trials and Undaunted dailies.

I've been doing fine with crafted alone, but we'll need to see how 1.6 answers OP's question when it is finally released.

I was told that crafted gear can be used to complete almost all challenges ingame AND be relativelly competitive in pvp...

So instead of selling, i deconstruct ALL items i find..

Hint: SAVE ALL RAW MATS, and lvl crafting with deconstruction, than when u get 3 points in crafting skill that gives u better items when creating materials u will have thousands of raw material and u will earn TONS of Epic and Legendary resins... u cn sell or use em then

You can craft different gear than you loot. Some of the looted gear is really good, some not. Some of the crafted gear is really good, some not. A mix of both it ideal and I think most people will put on different gear depending on the content they are running and the role they are playing; PVP, Dragonstar, Trials, Healer, Tank, DPS, etc.

In some cases, crafted is better, in others, looted is better. I find that a mix of both is ideal. Footman's Fortune (looted) + Hist Bark (crafted), for example.

I don't know whether you get the better stats, but being able to craft your gear does make your builds more flexible. As long as ZoS keep tinkering with the game, that's a consideration.

In most cases a mix of looted and crafted is the best way to go.
