Puncturing Sweep Question, spell damage, and spell crit or weopon crit?

I know it was weapon crit in 1.5, I know biting was changed to weapon damage and weapon crit. What is puncturing sweep? Spell crit or weapon crit? I assume weapon crit because, I thought that all melee abilities were weapon crit (lol), alright thanks for any response on this in advance.
