ZOS - Why do equivalent class skills cost more stamina than magicka

Magicka and Stamina costs are reduced by the type of armor you wear (Light reduces magicka costs, Medium reduces stamina costs), set bonuses, some Class passives, jewelry enchantments, and Champion Point passives.

If you have the same character wearing the same armour, the one built for Magic has Stamina available for other things like sneaking yet the stamina version is worn out by sneaking and is gimped when they need to use their most dangerous attacks. Yes the stamina build can wear armour that gives even more stamina but the same problem arises. Solution? Really none practical apart from being a Vampire.

The fundamental design flaw ZOS clearly don't intend to fix is that Magicka purely powers spells where as Stamina powers physical fighting skills and also others like sneaking as noted.

To be 'fair' either blocking etc. shouldn't use Stamina or else 50% of the cost should come from both Magicka and Stamina, as it stands Magicka builds will always be superior: Magicka users will never be unable to block/roll etc. whereas Stamina builds often are.

I just want 4 morphs... 2 magicka version 2 stamina versions...

I wish the morphs were togglable where you could use either by right clicking the skill on your bar while not in combat to swap the active morph. You'd still have to spend 3 skill point for the base skill and its two morphs though. I'd gladly pay an extra skill point on a few situational morphs so that morph respeccing wasn't such a chore.

Hi, I'm just popping in to let you know that when I first made the post that you are referencing, I was only using a magicka oriented character. This has been updated however to show what stamina cost abilities look like with a stamina oriented character.
