(Brain Storming) Player Housing

This is obviously something I'm sure plenty of people have brought up lol but I'd like to post my ideas and hear some of your's.
I feel player housing should be separated between account based and alliance based allowing people to get homes where they could be with friends no mater the faction or be more rp and lore friendly. This also opens the door for guild halls for multi alliance guilds like some trade guilds or guilds that don't care lol.
I also like the idea of players being able to turn a house in to a shop. As a player with a dedicated crafter hoping to master all crafting skills I dream of being able to own my own shop and have face to face interactions with people making orders for specific things, or having stock that players can buy from. Players having shops helps them build a sort of reputation as crafters and be able to offer different deals and it gives a face to us.

There's been a lot of discussion already about Player Housing. The problems most players see are Access and Appearance. Many people would like to be able to build and upgrade their own houses but this will clearly cause issues due to number of players and locations. A way around this, that is often discussed, is having a "oblivion plane" with a "gate" or an oblivion based house with a "door" to get inside.

^ and/or having it in a secluded location only accessible by wayshrine, for anyone who does not like the lore-implications of owning a pocket realm.

Everyone with their own house instance, whether that be pocket realms or secluded areas, would be able to decide whether it was a personal residence (enterable only by grouping with the owner) or a guild hall (enterable based on guild permissions). They could buy a pre-made house to put in the plot of land, or start building their own. Building your own house would work in a similar way to Hearthfire. It would be possible to build in any racial style that you have found the motif for.

I think housing is a long way off at this point, I hope I'm wrong but that's my feeling. Now having said that, I wouldn't mind having my own "oblivion plane" for housing. I've beating up Molag Bal and his minons. Thwarted the plans of a few other princes. Uncle Sheogorath and I are best friends,... number 1 mortal and all that. Finally, Hermaeus Mora and I have a good, (some might even say a close), working relationship. Why shouldn't I have my own "oblivion plane" for housing. Meridia knows I've earned it.

I'd love to be able to build my own house, and I like the idea that it would be a secluded area accessible via a wayshrine.

The congestion concern is not only the number of players, but also the potential for each player to have up to eight characters (assuming that each character has its own house).

The player could select a location for the house based on a selection of locations (island, mountain, jungle, lakeside, etc.) and then that wayshrine location is added to the player's map for ease of access.

Wildstar has a separate contact list, called neighbors, with its own ban list as well. Through that list, your neighbors can visit your house any time they want to, and if the owner sets it to public, anyone can visit who isn't on the ban list.

I'll take anything, a medieval pavilion that was relocatable would be
    fantastic though.
