Only time will answer to your question. For now officially we can just buy fluff and "convenience" item.
But either the game turn P2W or not in the long run you would have a big load of gameplay before reaching the compétitive part of the game.
So in my opinion if you like what you ve seen during beta and the sub fee was what keep you away from the game : buy the game ^^ Even on PC then switch to PS4 for an headstart!

It will inevitably become P2W. The only way ZOS can "incentivize" people to buy any new content they create is to have things within that content that are not generally available. This will lead to a caste system within ESO, with the players who only bought the basic game being at a disadvantage to those who buy all the new content and all the new perks \ items available within that content.

ESO will be buy to play. You will still have to purchase the game, but you won't have to pay a sub fee. Even without a sub fee, you will still have access to everything that is currently in the game. Storyline, PvP, PvE, Trials, Dragonstar Arena, etc... There is more than enough content to keep you busy for a very long time without ever paying a sub fee. Without a sub fee, however, you will have to pay for each DLC that you want access to as it is released.

As far as pay to win goes, there is currently nothing in the Crown Store that is pay to win. That may change in the future. Time will tell.

...just wait for some 10 years. I think it's still not too late to buy it by then.

if you only do pve then really don't matter , but if you doing pvp then it does to a point, like anything else if you enjoy the game then you either play or not .
so would say if pvp there could be some concern otherwise zero

Really? You couldn't have looked through the first couple of pages of this very forum to find your answer. Just needed to add to the 100's, if not 1000's, of posts on this very subject.

It is B2P. Right now there's nothing in the crown store that would give you a substantial advantage over other players, only things that will save you some gold. Tbh, the most valuable thing (in terms of power) you can buy has been in the game since day 1: the Imperial race. It became more powerful now that softcaps are gone. But it isn't P2W either.

Will this change in the future? Maybe, but nobody knows right now, not even the fear-mongers we have in abundance on this forum.

If your glass is always half full then it will remain B2P, whereas if your glass is always half empty it will turn out to be P2W.
