Combat Log and Chatlog

Is there a way to view how much damage I am dealing and taking in a fight? I turned on the Chatlog hoping it would be written to that file, but it is not.

CLS addon gives you text-based combat log. You can see the damage you deal quite accurately. You can see only incoming damage amount but not the source nor type. That is because ZOS has removed them from addon API.

Thank you for the link. It is too bad they took the source and type of damage out of the api. I wish this was built into the game like it is in so many others.

Yeah - the base UI is awful for anyone interested in the mechanics. Happily, CLS and FTC (Foundry Tactical Combat) can plug most of that gap.
