Information on LFG tool from CS.

Below is the response from CS about the current LFG tool. From what I've read on the forums, people think the tool is broken, but from the response it seems that it's not "working" because not many people are using it.

Personally, I think it's a combination of the 2. A few weeks ago I got into a group with someone when I selected the "world" option for Craglorn. But I've never got into a group after that using the LFG tool.

I know some people, like the CS person in the reply below, will say that you should just use /zone, but for players like me, I don't like the added expectation and pressure of joining a group from /zone. It feels like if you mess up and die, everyone will blame you and it just gets awkward from there, which is why I prefer the LFG tool.

Question: If the LFG tool was more accessible, noticeable and you knew it actually worked, would you use it?

Greeting ---

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue with using the LFG tool , I know that this is frustrating as I have been in the same situation. It seems that not to many players use this feature.

There are plans for this feature to be improved in the upcoming updates.

I have found that is better to search out players looking to do public dungeons by seeking them out in /zone chat.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us through this e-mail and we will be happy to assist you.

Warm Regards,

Well, I'm not sure exactly why you feel like you're under less pressure from joining an LFG group. I know that people who underperform after joining via random selection tend to take more abuse than people who are in a group that formed naturally.

Hmm...well I quite often stay queued for PvE related content for 1 - 2 hours (Vet content) and it never adds me. The characters that I play on both offer healing and DPS which is usually of high demand so I would question this response.

    Also....in REF to my post - http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/comment/1542539#Comment_1542539

An official confirmation from @ZOS if anyone can find and link it in this post would be appreciated on this topic (one within the last 15 days)

Funny how it was working fine before they "fixed it" when they implemented dungeon scaling.

Plus that was arguably when the population of the game was at it's lowest. Before they even announced the Champion System.

When CS person tells you to substitute in-game grouping tool for chat, it's like them saying they know it's not working. Sad.

I used to use the LFG tool many months ago when it worked and I do miss having one that works now. At least the CS person was giving correct advice about finding groups by asking in/zone.

I haven't heard any word on a fix for LFG. I can't imagine console players finding groups without a decent LFG system.

And if they said something else, you'd say they were ignoring the problem. Kind of a catch-22 for CS, huh?

It all depends on what they would say. They have been ignoring this problem for several months now. I made numerous threads and posts about it and all I could get as a result is:

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/150339/grouping-tool-bug#latest

No catch 22 , just lack of care.

That CS said she/he found it easier to spam chat then use a tool that was designed specifically for grouping. That tells a lot.

seems like the LFG tool and people questions about VR levels with update 1.6 are not of concern to ZOS.....which is not a positive thing.

The LFG tool not working is at the top of my gripes for ESO. Yes, I do use /zone to group but I would rather go do whatever I want in other zones rather then sit in Deshaan till I get a group. ZOS has really left this tool sit unfixed for too long. They need to get their act together and make it a top priority.
