How to setup to play both game regions

I tried using Search on things like "play both servers" and "play both regions" but even though there's a bunch of threads from launch time none seemed to provide a working result consistently.

So can someone please post a link to where I can find how to do this? I want to play both NA and EU, I know characters are tied to a region but so far I don't have an idea how to install two copies.

Thanks.

It's actually pretty straightforward. Open the launcher, go into settings (Ouroboros icon in upper right corner), there's an option to change the megaserver. Download one, then the other. Make sure you always set the right one before starting the game.

It's possible to download just once, then copy the folder, rename it and run repair - but I don't know the exact instructions, so maybe someone else can help here.

Ah, thanks, I'd seen mention of the folder copying but it seemed a tad fragile, or maybe it was back when the game launched.

I saw the 'Megaserver' setting and tried it but when a download started I wasn't sure if I'd broken something so I killed it and reloaded the game tree from a backup, then posted here. :)

    Thanks.

Just to check, right now I have "The Elder Scrolls Online EU" tree where the game is, if I select the NA region the whole game will be re-downloaded into "The Elder Scrolls Online" so it's totally separate from the EU one, is that right?

No problem. Btw, if you use addons, you have to install them for each server separately. There are two folders: Elder Scrolls Online and Elder Scrolls Online EU (NA and EU, respectively). Minion should automatically detect them.
