Should Treasure Maps/trophies be added to "collection" to save inventory space?

Many of us are still holding onto all those treasure maps included in the Imperial Edition

Pets now move to a collection but what about trophies and treasure maps?

But, of course they should... and of course they won't. That takes work.

I had thought that Trophies were part of the collection in 1.6. It is the only reason my current character is hauling them around.

As for the Maps, I have a VR12 that completed Gold so he digs up everything.

Trophies, yes. I could give a rat's arse about treasure maps; they never lead to anything good (certainly nothing better than the chests I am always finding as I explore), so I always discard them as junk.

Just clarify, I think trophies should be placed in the collectibles sections.

But maps? Not needed, once you dig up the treasure they vanish. If you choose to wait to dig up said treasure...oh well for your inventory space.

Trophies absolutely should. Treasure maps would be nice too, but I don't really care too much about that. They don't stay in the inventory for long anyway (except for the ones that came with the Imperial Edition, or the Explorer's Pack - whichever it was).

it's not needed for maps since those get used anyways, but trophies... I have bought oodles of bank space just to accomodate them. I believe they said they were "planning" for this, but it's anyone's guess when the ETA will be....if ever.

I care less about maps. But the trophies, I was under the impression the trophies were included in 1.6. Mentioned that in my 1.6 feedback notes to the devs. Really irritated those things will still be clogging up space....

I thought collections were going to be a different tab that doesn't count against bag slots, not a whole different category with rather LARGE icons.

Trophies yes - Treasure Maps...no. As stated before, they vanish once you dig it up anyway. Quit being a tightwad and buy more inventory space!

The size of the icons doesn't make the items take up actual space in your inventory.

trophies for sure, treasure maps are consumable so don't think that will work.

The only real use I have for Treasure Maps is to collect them,
so a definite yes for the Treasure Maps too !
(Or discard them completely or make them worthwhile to dig out)

I had not considered this but yes, anything to save space. It also makes sense from a Collections standpoint imo.

    You misunderstand.

I was mistakenly under the impression that Collections would be in our inventory under a different category.

However, collections are under an entirely different character tool. They're not under Inventory, they are under Collections, which uses a grid system with icons that seem quite large when compared to the inventory system.
    AZk3yJB.jpg?1

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it was just a bit jarring when I first saw it. Kind of like "woah! those are huge!" but... as you can see, they're not that huge. Just in comparison.

This does, however, illustrate that collections are in no way associated with inventory.

The main issue is that the new "collections" will be account wide to account for the crown store stuff, while trophies and treasure maps are very much earned and used character specific.

So for treasure maps it would make very little sense, as they are used to read the map, and consumed upon finding the treasure. So, no sense adding them to the upcoming collections system.

Trophies... there are actually two kinds of trophies, the super-rare mob drop "collectibles" which you use and then they vanish from your inventory anyways and add to your achievements, and the public dungeon "trophies" which have some flavor special effect when used... those -could- be added to it, much like pets or costumes... even though it might be a bit jarring when characters that haven't earned the trophy yet can use it from other characters conquests...

I for one would more like having more inventory options. More bank slots, or something, to store all these crafting ingredients... (it gets hard even at 240 bank space when one has crafters for every skill that want to have ample stores at hand...)

So the collections, while awesome, doesn't exactly have all the features we were asking for. We need additional inventory categories of Trophies and Maps that do NOT count against our bag space numbers.
