ZoS: Why is removing VR tabled behind anything?!

Can someone from ZoS please tell me why the removal of VR is being tabled?

It is a fact that a large majority of the population this game had, quit due to the Vet Ranks. So why is it not a priority to have the VR system removed?

Why will console players get to lvl 50 and realize they are only 33% done grinding their toon up level wise? Shouldn't the goal be to KEEP them playing? They will quit just like the PC crowd did.

The champion system does not fix anything that is wrong with VR. Not one, single thing. At best, it gives the illusion that grinding through 14 VRs will be worth it on all your toons because you gained 1.8% to your stats.

So can anyone at ZoS tell me what is more important than getting VR removed from the game? What single aspect of ESO can be greater than preventing (on console) the catastrophe that happened on PC with VR?

Why is there no sense of urgency from ZoS about this?

If the answer is "$launching consoles is the priority$" then I suppose that answer in itself is why consoles are launching with a broken VR system...

Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    Is the plan to remove Veteran Ranks still a thing?
    If so, when is the time frame they have given with regards to it at this point?

    Seem to recall it was recently stated that 1.6 was going to be the last update to game mechanics for a while...does that mean Vet Ranks are here to stay?

    Yeah, I'm not sure tabled is the right word for it until we know for sure it is not in the plans, but now seeing the champion system they said they wanted us to experience before removing them, I do not see any good reason why. They should go and their final breath simply be the champion points we are getting as apparent compensation for what progress we made.

    All we know is that console is launching with VR...when asked about this in a recent interview, that was the answer Paul Sage gave with nothing given about the future timeline.

    Yeah; I hate them and have quit because of it for several months but am about through the tunnel now. That said; it will be a terrible mistake to have that for any new players they have coming in. it will be repeating exactly what happened with the PC version.

    Launching on consoles with the VR system in place is a huge mistake.

    Because when they make everything level 50 they don't have a viable alternative to having all your VR14 gear being reduced back to VR1 levels.

    And they likely won't come up with one, and if you think the screaming is loud now, just wait.

    That goes hand in hand with any other benefits in attributes/stats, etc that come from the VR levels. They also will have to rescale everything in game past level 50 back to that level - so when you get to that point cadwell's silver/gold, craglorn and trials won't be any particularly harder than coldharbour.

    And they don't have a system that can handle all that content being the same level.

    There is essentially no plan for continuing progression at the moment. Either CP *is* progression in which case it's not the "just play and you'll get this slow horizontal perk system" that it has been touted as, or it *IS* progression and you'll be facing a grind that makes VR14 and the Cadwell's gold/silver look like a walk in the park.

    Take your pick.
    VR14 Templar, VR14 DK, VR8 DK, VR7 NB, VR1 Sorcerer;
    All 3 Alliances;
    2 Pre-order Imperial Accounts, yes that means 16 characters on NA alone

    I'm of the opinion that they should leave veteran ranks in place, but only let them grant an ability point and not stat points, and change every VR item so that it can be used by level 50 players as well. That way level 50's and VR players will be equal in power, level 50 players can get straight into the endgame stuff, but its still worth getting those Veteran Ranks for the extra ability points (and the gold made from doing the quests).

    Yeah, its when I think about this, they might as well have just stuck to VR and not done the champion system. At least VR levels cap at a certain point for a couple months or so. With CP; there is no end. Just who is ahead and who is behind from here until the game closes.

    Yeah, I dislike the decision to launch console before the VR removal. I would have preferred to have that segment of players not have to experience VR since it proved to be so disliked by PC players. I am sincerely hoping VR removal is active in their timetables despite the report that they are setting down the development process.
