Any new updates on this? I don't see why it would be difficult to port the Xbox controller and UI settings to a PC.

This is the thing I have been wanting since the launch of the game, to be honest I though it would have been in by now. I just want to sit back and enjoy the game with a controller.

They already posted that the PC support would come later this year...no exact date was given but it won't be before console release.

For now just buy Xpadder or Pinnacle for $9.
Pinnacle tends to be the easiest to setup

I believe it would be a lot more difficult to create a PC UI that both a controller and mouse/keyboard would work with in addition to keep add-on support.

Careful on what you ask for on PC as you may loose something you feel is important

There is no reason that adding controller support should have any impact on a mouse and keyboard. That's like saying that using a mouse would have an impact on using a keyboard. They are completely independent devices. The only thing I'm asking for is the ability to use a controller, not lose keyboard functionality. It's actually fairly simple, especially if they already added it for the XBox.

xpadder here and it works good (if not better than a ZOS implementation would be)

Really allows you to kick back and get comfortable during those hours upon hours of mindless grinding

I get what you're saying. Personally I found trying to get it work more aggravating than it's worth. Especially since the UI itself doesn't reflect the changes. There was an addon at one time but of course ZOS ruined it with one of the many API changes they made. I firmly believe that there are certain features that I personally shouldn't have to find hacks for just to get a what I consider to be an enjoyable playing experience. Nobody has to agree with me of course, it's just a preference that I have found after playing that way with Skyrim. And I believe my point is valid that if they have already done the work for the XBox then porting it over to the PC really shouldn't be that much of a project.

I have been running xpadder and an xbox controller since launch. I still use the keyboard for some things like crafting, banking, and the mouse for picking locks, but if I wanted to I could just use only the controller.
It has worked flawlessly for me and I love it.
Although I am looking forward to when the game has controller support built in. I was hoping that since ZOS was part of the Bethesda family they would have included it up front like it was in Skyrim and Fallout, but at least now they are moving in that direction.

I agree. I love this community, especially the modders who take the time to polish the very lackluster UI.
