Do you guys know if I buy an old retail ESO, like the one that includes the Exprorer's Pack, if I activate it after the Tamriel Unlimited comes out, if it will work? or simples would be a waist of money?

Seriously, though, the game will still work, and if you set up a subscription prior to the switch-over it will automatically be transferred over to a new subscription under the new model.
