Should I not go EP

I have a level 30 sorcerer that Is EP. I plan on strictly pvping and was wondering whether I should level a different faction character up instead since EP seems over populated already.

Do what ever you're going to enjoy most . If you enjoy long wait times but dominating , absolutely join EP .

Make sure you have Wall of Elements & Impulse unlocked. They won't let you join in a group without those lol

The other factions need all the help they can get atm. DC needs the most help with numbers for balance.

If you want and easy time and to roll with large numbers go EP they will be around the longest, others factions espically dc are starting to reroll or have quit for the time being, our pops are fading across the board so avoid the blue faction.

But basically if you want a challange play either DC or AD currently if you want to zerg keep your sorc. and roll with them just how things are currently.

So campaign oriented things, like keep warfare and stuff, DC takes a lot of patience to be in. But I love DC, and could play EP if I wanted, but don't.

I enjoy playing defense so generally like DC when we have keeps, still sometimes get buggy when flied fighting and don't want a repeat of a vampire feeding on me and it messing them up instead of me and me being accused of cheating, but going to be out and about more come 1.6 with some of the changes and given my build.

But you summed up better then me on the difference, DC has always been hard mode ever since Auriel's bow.

Honestly, the DC population "crisis" is way overexaggerated. You guys have the numbers, but for whatever reason, they're not choosing to play on Thornblade. These screenshots were taken at ~11:30pm EST on 2/4/15.






Locked on Chillrend, 2 bars on Haderus/Blackwater, and yet not locked on Thorn. DC is slightly underpopulated compared to the other two factions for maybe ~6ish hours per day in the late night/early morning NA times, but otherwise you definitely have the numbers to compete. DC just has a complete lack of organization/guilds. Other than No Mercy/Mega Best Friends/whatever they're called now, there really aren't any DC guilds who field strong organized groups. And since they've been spending time on Haderus/PTS, DC on Thorn has been a complete joke. Get groups going with TS, coordination between guilds, etc. You definitely have the numbers to compete, but without organization/leadership, you'll never be able to.

DC had lowest pop, but I'm used to it. I don't think I could play another faction that has more people considering I'm so used to getting a few kills avoid or elude the large red zerg, rinse and repeat...I'd be lost if I had numbers on my side lol!

Alot of DC players have given up on Thorn due extreme uses of healing debuffs and various other tactics used by every faction. When they go away things should return.

let's not forget the zombies who log in and sway back and forth at the transitus shrines on dc, lol. fill up our population with non fighting players who simply stay logged in.

I honestly don't know the actual "population numbers" for the 3 factions.... but I do know that on the EU Blackwater Blade campaign, DC is seriously outnumbered. There are times when there are large numbers of us "blue" players online.... but we are ALWAYS outnumbered hugely.

The other day the red gank squad outside our gate was more than twice the total number of blues online (well, according to number of people in our groups)... and the gank squad was of course just there to prevent us reacting to the actual raiding party busy steamrolling our keeps. This was the middle of the afternoon, so it was an especially bad population imbalance that by no means represents the entire day, but I was amused nonetheless (OK, I lie - I was %@$% frustrated and close to rage quitting for the day)

At times it is very frustrating... but mostly it just makes the game a real fun challenge (I often wonder if the EP zerg guys ever get to feel a sense of challenge.... "hi honey, me and my 75 closest friends just beat the hell out of 10 blues - you should have seen us!").

Im EP and i fight being out numbered almost daily because i choose to play on a sever that allows me to... please don't group us all together, some of us EP love a good challenging fight and fighting as underdogs aswell

@Galalin Fair comment, I shouldn't generalize like that, and I apologize. I'm sure that even on my campaign there are plenty of "reds" who would thoroughly enjoy a more balanced fight... but it's kind of hard to remember that at times

No need for apologies... i have been guilty of the same feelings at times. But then i think to myself we may all be in different factions but we are all no different from one another... the only thing that is are the circumstances of our environment.

Galalin is a different breed of EP . Like Cody , they look for balance and a challenge .

Forget the overpopulation and go EP, EP is the faction with the least amount of *** and chest thumpers. Seek out the mighty @vortexman11‌ and just PvP on Chillrend or Haderus. Pop is balanced there.

Don't bother with DC, they are fine when it comes to PvP. Last weekend they dominated the Hadereous map and got an emperer who stuck skills in to completely take over the map. Even last night they still dominated before.

Really its up to what to play. Population imbalance means BS to the PvP side of the game as most will just hop to a different server to buff the population compared to another.

DC are not "out number" there over exaggerating about it. Go to Haderus NA it's nothing but DC there another factions can't even take a resource let alone a keep during the day with out 30+ DC coming down like Volendrung landing in Hammerfell. Even when it's the after noon and every one is off work DC still are able to keep the keeps cause there either at 2 or 3 bars like the other factions most of the time AD are at 3 and EP and DC are at 2.

^ This is very true, especially how the current DC emp whined to me about EP early morning capping and then they did it just two days ago. Hypocrisy all over the place.

Truth is, EP has just gotten better and both DC and AD have gotten worse. Its not our fault the other two factions are bad

We already established the broad amount of EP is probably on Welfare or Unemployed in the Unemployment Thread , and therefore has time to play all the time . The vast majority of DC work for a living and have limited play time and hours to devote . If we are to continue broad sweeping generalizations about faction , let's at least agree to be consistent .
