@ZOS - Console specific Questions/Concerns

First, many are excited about the release date.

Concerns:
-Please talk more about how voice chat will work on each console
-Please ensure that a LFG tool is fully functional at launch
-Please confirm if a PC account will need to re-purchase the Imperial Edition when transferring /copying their account over.
-Will crowns transfer from the PC account to the console account?
-Will an active PC subscription crowns earned after console release be limited to the PC account?
-Will the console versions contain solo-only content?(I hope not)
-What happens to items in a guild bank, AH after the copy is created on console?
-Is the account copy limited to one console or the other, or can an account copy to both?
-How firm is the release date or is it subject to change?
-When will details regarding resolution be released for each version?

Just a few ?'s that are jumping around in my head.

They have said that the target is 1080p/30fps for both consoles, if that changes or not who knows.

I posed the same questions, mostly in the AUA thread. For visuals/tech stuff, I just want to know what the PC equivalent is the Console versions running? What is the draw distance, what is the AA setting, what is the shadow quality etc going to be on the consoles?

They have answered a few of these already in the last AMA and in the FAQ.

Voice chat will provide say distance which can be turned on/off and group chat.

Imperial Edition and Explorer's pack will both transfer over.

Once characters are transferred the two accounts will be separate and a change on one will not effect the other so crowns earned on PC after transfer to console will not transfer to console.

Like the PC game you would expect that some quests (main story) will remain solo but ZOS has not specifically said anything regarding this for console.

You have to select a console so you can only transfer to one presumably.

As stated above they are aiming for 1080 p and 300 fps.

Yeah I listened to those....guess I missed something

Chat- obviously it's not chat like how the PC type chat works. I'm just looking for more details.
    - Resolution/FPS..."aiming for" We see this a lot but end results always differ.
    - Imperial pack - thanks, I missed it.
    - Story/solo. I hope none remain solo
    - Xfer/copy. Ok that seems simple
    - What about the rest?

I'm still awaiting a response re items in guild bank.
If a guild leader copies to console, will their guild bank get copied too?

I got a response from an admin, (don't remember their name) and it was along the lines of "Good question, I'll look into it"

    Haven't heard back yet....

It was Jess that responded to you Joffy. I'm guessing that they haven't yet finalised everything regarding the transfer which is why we haven't heard anything else.

Haven't heard anything else regarding your queries OP.

I would think Guild stuff would not transfer. They are making a complete copy of the character and all your items, since when they do this Guilds would not be established on consoles, I doubt anything to do with Guilds will move along with the character.

That's not gonna go over well if I'm a Guild Leader and move over. I loose my guild bank n contents.

Yeah, I can see that be irritating if you are a guild leader. I am just not sure how it will work. Perhaps since the rumor that the transfers will happen before the Console versions launch, meaning they will copy all the stuff to the PSN or Xbox Servers prior to the launch of the game.

So for you as a Guild Leader, you would want your guild name and all the contents of the bank over? Since it is just a copy, and it will still exist in the PC version even after the transfer, I would think they should be able to do it.

I think some of the technical issues may be that people that are part of your guild will be on the roster when it moves to console, but not all of them will move to console which perhaps with the character names could cause a problem.

I would also think if you are a leader of a large guild, if all the contents of your guild bank moves over, but you are the only one, would not that be an advantage to you since you will posses all those items that all your guild mates put into the bank, but now they will all be yours?

I hope they do this right for everyone so that all are happy. All I remember is that they have said character transfer/items transfers, nothing about guilds, but I hope for those leaders that it works out.

BTW....Which version are you planning on moving too?

Well those who can transfer were given the offer to start playing on pc since the console release was delayed. They were encouraged to play pc while waiting with this offer. There are/were some console guilds playing on pc waiting for console release.
So if a console guild have put in effort in preparation of console, surely they are deserving.

If there are not enough people in guild, access to the guild bank becomes restricted.

So maybe the main issue is not the guild bank duplication, but more so the guild duplication?

If in the event only one GM transfers to console, and their GB is full of items, they will need to wait for other players to level to get enough gold to buy those items in a guild store anyway.
I doubt it would be hugely advantageous to people anyway. Even in Cyrodiil. Being v14 with personal items would already give a huge advantage. Having a GB won't really add much more to that advantage. A larger stock pile of soul gems, crafting items etc. It's not as if people without access to a GB struggle with stockpiling those items anyway

It would be interesting to see how many PC players will migrate to console versions. I am currently thinking of starting a new toon on console and use my stocked up bank of gold and materials to help my new toon to get going but also help a lot of my IRL friends that will be new to the game when the Xbox One version comes out.

Until I started reading some of the responses above regarding guilds, I really did not think about it too much, but the more I do, it would be great if they do transfer a guild over if you are the guild leader. Since they did say to start your adventure on PC and migrate to console and having a guild or being a guild leader is a part of the game that you started on PC.

The great thing, if your guild and the items in the guild bank, you can easily recruit new people and give them a helping hand by opening the guild bank to them.

From my understanding it is a complete copy of your PC character, so I would assume that any achievements you have unlocked in the PC game would be unlocked in the Console version.

This does raise the question if on console will Trophies/Achievements (Xbox One achievements) trigger if you are porting a PC character over? I am assuming that they will have in-game achievements and system Trophies/Achievements, but will it unlock both is the question when you are converting a PC character to console?

Rockstar recently allowed character copies of Xbox 360 GTA online characters to the next gen platform of their choice and I took up that offer and all my progress and previously unlocked achievements came across with the transfer.

Once my character became available on the next gen console all my previously acquired achievements just started popping. Hopefully the ESO PC to console transfer is similar in that regard.

Easy solution: grab everything you want to take including gold before you make the copy, then put it back when you are done. I'll bet multiple players can copy their guilds gold if they have access to it.

I guess making alts would take care of the guild inventory but the access to a guild bank/store, etc but It would make more sense just to copy everything as is...even guild membership

another good question. I'm assuming we will need to unlock those again.

I was on PTS and it hit me...bug reporting will look different too on consoles. I assume the menus will be full of categories and sub categories

Prob won't be a PTS tho so they'll have to work up something else
