Download glitch/ progress

So i just bought the game and began to download the update which was around 11000 mb. After a few hours the progress and percentage have not moved from 1% but the megabytes remaining are decreasing like they should be. Should i be concerned about this glitch or has anyone else experienced this issue?

sorry if its been mentioned before or is in the wrong category, im new to these forums and it wouldn't let me post in most of the other forum spaces.

I just downloaded it a few days ago. The same thing happened to me. You need to just let it download. Don't exit out of it. It did a weird thing of restarting the WHOLE game download when I tried to restart the launcher. It took me 12hrs to download. I have average internet so base the time off of that. And Welcome to ESO!

Alright, when i start playing i'll post how it compares. So far ESO seems like it will not play like traditional elder scrolls games as it can't focus on you as much but the combat system seems far better than WoW. It requires some skill and for you to actively swing and dodge just like any other eldeer scrolls game.

Update here. ESO is freaking AMAZING compared to wow. WoW has fun raids but after barely starting ESO its awesome. It jsut feels like an elder scrolls game and the combat and skills mix so well. I dont understand the bad reviews at all!

Most of the reviews were based on the early release of the game, when there were a lot of bugs. Players have provided a lot of feedback, and Zenimax has improved the game, and still is. With the upcoming update, the game will be even better, with more responsive combat and the champion and justice system which will contribute to a more progressive character development.

Most people who comment negatively on the game have not even tried it.

It downloads in parts, then installs that part.

Usually a PAUSE then RESUME will snap out of it. They do throttle the connection though, so don't expect top speed at any time.

I really wish they'd give the first person full speed, and cut it in half each time as more people come on. This would allow everyone the full benefit of their connection. Once the first one was done, everyone else would see the speed increase.

Would make more sense to have someone download at 50Mbps for 10 minutes than to have then download at 5Mbps for 100. Implementing a queue wouldn't be that hard, but capping the speed is simpler, I suppose.
