Kicked for spamming?

3 times now I've been booted off the game for "spamming the chat", let's me back in sure but kinda annoying when your in the middle of something....thing is I rarely ever type in chat so what is up with that?

    bug most likely.
    I have experienced it once on live server a while back. hadnt talked in in game chat for 30min or more and suddenly kicked out to log in screen for spamming the chat.

    I may be mistaken but I think you will find the message does not mention chat - normal cause is when your client loses synch with the server, it queues all the button pushes you do as you continue to play (you might find that you cannot interact normally with certain game items during this bit). When the client and server regain synch the server receives all these 'messages' at once and sees it as you spamming key presses and you get booted.

    Can be a fault at client or server end or anywhere in between.

    This actually happened to me once. What i did was change out my keyboard when i did some checking and i found keys were damaged.

    Not saying this is your issue, but what i thought was a bug turned out to be an issue on my side.

    Certain addons will cause you to get kicked for spamming chat.

    I know someone was booted for spamming chat when they linked achievements in the group chat window in CyrodiilI. Not sure what you were doing before you got kicked but same thing for that person they could relog back in but they did get kicked twice after doing it. So there may be a limit on data you can put in the chatbox particularly in CyrodiilI.

    Had it happen once when I was in a dungeon and twice in thorn which I then had to queue up again for another 40 minute wait and no I hadn't typed anything in chat for good while so was frustrating. But thanks for responses :smile:

    This happens to me when there is severe lag and i try to do anything, kicked for spam, which i always have to laugh at.
