Account subscription or platform subscription?

Does the new subscription cover both the pc version and console or is it one over the other?
I want to play pc, but going console to play with a friend. I want to continue my sub, but wondering if I will only pay $15 p/m or $30 p/m

I wouldn't mind getting the bonus xp gain while on console, but I would like to spend crown point on my pc.

I know the platforms will not be 'linked' with character progression etc, so if the subscription is for the account, I should be able to get 1500 crowns on both platforms since they are not linked? It's not as if I can get a guar mount on console then have access to it on pc, so crowns should be given to both. That is if sub is account based.

Anyone have any information on this?

They have not released any information about how the payment model will work on consoles or if they'll be able to offer an equivalent of ESO Plus. If they are able to, I would anticipate having to have two separate monthly payments if you wanted to have ESO Plus benefits on both platforms.

They are all different per the pre Buy2Play announcement. My guess is that you will somehow have crowns to spend on PC and need a console sub via Xbox or psn for console crowns.

If you go to the account linking section on this website has some stuff pending for when it opens up but the subs would have to be different.

I think your actual question is can you use crowns from the pc on console?
If you can generate crowns for each into one account or if they are different.

My guess is that they will not carry over but we can use the crowns so that the items carry over.

So they might not even have the subscription offer for consoles?
You could be right.
They might have a similar thing to a season pass though, which could given them X benefits p/m similar to ESO Plus.


I really hope that it is an account wide sub, not for each platform....

Would suck to also buy a mount or pet twice for each platform
Might have to buy everything before the console duplication

They said in the last AMA that they will be separate accounts and if you want to have the benefit of subscription on both accounts you will need to pay for a sub for both

I feel disappointed now

Might have to buy everything in crown store before console release so I can get the items duplicated with the transfer...

I really want to play (and sub) to both
