Hey everyone I am getting back into ESO and the last time I played was when the game first came out and I have noticed a lot has changed while many things have stayed the same so some overall advice for starting players would be great because I remember zip of the game.

A few specific questions I have is about the gear. I hear a lot of people mentioning in game and on forums about mixing gear like heavy and medium or heavy and cloth and was wondering if someone could explain what that all entails. I understand it involves the stats gained from the gear and that's about it.

Another question would be any recommended classes to start out as? My tanking skills are a bit rusty so more or less I would like a decent DPS class. Weapon choice suggestions and even race are welcomed but I do know that the race choice has little impact into the character other than racial benefits but from what I've seen they aren't that extravagant to make a noticeable difference.

Other than that any other tips and suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance! :smiley:

    Hey there, if you're going for DPS, I highly suggest using a Nightblade/Dragonknight.
    Sword & Board + Restoration Staff
    Works on both, and is very strong.

    I would highly suggest not picking Sorcerer and I think a lot can agree, considering the panic with Sorcerer 1.6 changes soon.

    (I also suggest going Breton with Nightblade or Dark elf with Dragonknight)

    Tips;

    Make money so you can buy armour at v14
    Get to v14 before 1.6
    Find a strong PvE guild that you enjoy playing with
    Find a specific craft to get solid with;
    e.g > Clothing, Blacksmithing, Woodwork, provisioning, etc.

    + Of course, welcome back to the game, enjoy your stay again! :)
