1 week later...still no shoulders in over 50 runs

a couple days later...still no shoulders in that time in a pledge run ever..and still getting garbage


why am i running dailies if im getting things like this...and more than twice in a three day period. its insulting to say the least. fix your rng. thanks

there is this hidden stat called "luck" maybe your char just does not have it... roll imperial for a better chance, aka pay for the imperial pack which unlocks the race with a +to luck and maybe you too can have those. I didnt say p2w, doh now I did.

"Imperial - The racial skills of the Imperials reflect their affinity for combat and diplomacy, giving them bonuses to stamina, heath, and LUCK"

I think you sir rolled a char with poor luck. Happens in life why not Tamriel?

As a person who has run more than 70 gold key dailies and has yet to get mephalas shoulders (best dps set for my sorc or nb) in any weight I feel your pain. I hear from somebody who ran many more that chances of a shoulder are 1/6 which makes chances of the shoulder you want in the weight you want 1/126 if you don't care about the trait. It's kinda painful those undaunted shoulders. To some extent, it's an MMO, what do you expect. Also, they are a little short on new content if you haven't noticed. They've got to keep you buisy.

This probably isn't anything useful but I am an altoholic and have re-rolled several characters. I have noticed that some of them have way better chances getting rare items/chests/mats/etc. This is not anything specific either, i will re-roll the same class/race and some of them get rare everything and others get crap or next to nothing. *I think* eso devs have not figured out the necessary equations for these to function properly and that is why they have so many hidden statistics (ie specific resists, luck, etc.)

I have no proof just speculation as this is what I have seen

Why not just play destiny vomit then, unbalanced rng soo kew ami right?
They need to have a bullshitx counter, somthing that says, oh hey same toon has ran same instance 20times today, instead of dropping same thing 10/20 times, maybe idk force proc and item and end the bullshitx.
Im all for earning stuff and waiting for it to drop, but replicateing gearvyou already have , over and over and over
No need for rediculous stupiditity game has enough problems without failing on basic common sense.

No offense @Joejudas‌ , but you are always complaining about the game. I never see positive feedback from you.

Anyways. This is all probability. You have a chance to get it. No there should not be some kind of count system because then there's no sense of reward if for example, you HAVE to run x dungeon y times. Then there's absolutely no chance of getting what you want before then, and really it would defeat the whole purpose of looting something and not knowing what's in it. Maybe they could have something like this though. Example: pull one item from a bag of ten items, now you have 9. Etc. So each time you pull from the bag, you have a greater chance of getting what you want. However, the actual number of the items in the bag should be rather large in this case because they want a small initial chance to drop. If say you happened to loot every single item in the bag, a new bag with different rewards can be added.

Regardless, probability is an integral part of an mmo in my humble opinion.

RNG is one thing....but the rng in this game is very bad. There aren't many things keeping me playing this game....and good raid gear was one of them until they ruined Trials armor in 1.6.

In my case this translates to:

53 vet pledges
17 shoulder pieces

You will simply have to keep trying.

I hate this RNG crap. I know it is a part of playing a mmo but still loath it with a passion.

If only zos would put some player driven mechanism in place to swap the trait on gear drops. It would create a new economy and players that do not have profissions maxed (and don't want to spend gold) would commit time levelling them up rather than spend that precious game time with a mindless casino treadmill.

Yes, this would also make a ton of sets useful that have worthless traits.

People tend to complain about the lack of usable sets, however it usually falls down to the fact that there's some relatively good sets out there that no one uses due to the traits on the set items.

This request has come up multiple times yet I haven't seen any official response whether or not this is something that they plan to/consider to implement.

you do know you only have 1 chance to get shoulders a day, so thats only 7 days for one week, unless you live in a weird place where weeks = 50 days.....

its a running tally. i didn't start at day one i had a bunch of runs before i started posting and hadn't got anything before that, which is why its over 50 runs. This is more of a fun record of how bad the rng is in this game. i understand its random, but we shouldn't get rewarded gear i can go make for 400 gold. just saying.

They should implement scrap tokens, or a token system.

Everytime you run an instance, you get scrap token / token of so many. After say so many runs you build up a lot of scrap tokens and if your RNG has been really bad luck you can purchase the piece you are looking for from a token vendor.

Just an idea. That way you keep the RNG oh my god it dropped wow factor but if you get a run of bad luck for weeks on end you don't feel so *** because you have your tokens and trade them in for one piece of gear.
