VR5 currently. Fastest way to get to VR14 before 1.6?

Is finishing my quest line the best plan of action right now? Or is there an area where people are killing mobs (craglorn i think?) Thanks for any advice.

Go to Craglorn, look for a group to farm spellscar, mindlessly push 2 buttons for hours on end, and you'll be VR14. Congrats you can finally do some real end-game content! It's the most pathetic form of gated content I have ever seen. But good news, they are removing them at some point, maybe.... who knows...

I wouldn't count on it. They need a reason to sell those shiny XP potion on the crown shop... Can't do that without Veteran Ranks.

You pretty much heard the choices. Questing has/had interesting points. But after doing two alliances worth of the same thing......

So if the objective is to get to VR14 ASAP, then go to Spellscar, find a partner, or solo it if you can, and grind those mobs for a 2-3 day leisurely 2 button circle of leveling. (I know it can be faster, just saying)

Or, jump on over to the Gold quests, spend more time doing the same quests you have already done, just in different areas, still come up short at say VR10-12, and then go to Crag and do choice one.

It isn't really appealing at the point you are at in levels. Too low to do end game. There is always option 3...pick a new game and forget you ever played this one. (Personally I am not that tired yet...but getting there)

In yesterday's ESO Live! show they said they still plan to remove veteran ranks in the future. There is a use for XP potions even after veteran ranks are removed, they will speed up the accrual of champion points.

Spellscar definetely not working in 1.6, even now it's really slow as it was before patch 1.5.2, you had RKudenzelfedf dungeon also but it was nerfed recently.

I'm in the same boat at VR 6. As in I missed the early, easy grind boat.

I don't want to go to Spellscar; that kind of mindless grind will have me logging off sooner than later. To be completely honest, I wish there was a realistic option to level in pvp. That's really the only endgame that interests me atm but I can't compete at my level & it would take forever to go from VR6-VR14 even with the pve dailies.

And then there is part of me that doesn't even want to do Cadwell's Gold b/c I want to save that for leveling Champion Points down the road. Damned if you do & damned if you don't.

Like the guy above said though, ZOS will solve the problem by nerfing all the good grind spots then SELLING a way to level efficiently after 1.6. /sigh

My advice if you don't want spellscar, do quests until you find a spot that has good mobs density and respawn quick enough that you don't have to stop and is not heavily trafficked.

That is great advice. It's how I got a character to max level in November. I did very little Craglorn and Cyrodiil, the lion's share of XP came from quests and a bit of mob grinding in the vicinity of where I quested.
