I have played through the intro area (prologue) a few times prior to the 1.6 patch, my first time was back in Beta and then a few times when the game officially released. While it was pretty good to set up the Story a bit, it really left you wondering about a lot of things and left you unsure of some of the mechanics etc.
With the 1.6 update they have totally revamped the entire beginning portion of the game and after playing it I had to share my thoughts on how much better it is. Not only does it look visually impressive, it really gives the player the feeling that they are about to start an epic adventure. Story setup is done so much better, you get to try out different play mechanics that you don't normally get to use until you arrive in the first town.
The game does a much better job at explaining things, which for the majority here already understand, but for someone just starting out in ESO the way they set it up before you enter the first real town is very impressive. There is just a lot more insight into the Story and as mentioned the added mechanics that you get to use early so you have a brief idea on how some things works is great for new players.
What it does is leave a great 1st impression as this area is the first physical play you get to do (for new players), this is something that pre-1.6 it did not do very well.
