Is 400,000 XP per champion point a reasonable amount?

So at the moment on the PTS the current rate required per champion point is 400,000 XP.

Don't know. Depends on the rate at which XP will be earned in 1.6.

Yep, it all depends on the Exp rate. However I don't see the Exp rate going up a great deal as it does not just level your character, but all your skills that are equipped too. I do think the current exp rate on skills is a little lower than it should be, but the character exp progression is about right.

It could be 1 XP per champion point and it would still be too slow if there's nothing new to do on the game.

What am I doing to get XP as a PvE player with everything beaten and all of the best gear already? Does riding circles in town and talking with guild mates give XP now?

Keep in mind that when enlightened, you gain CP at a 4x rate, so it will only be 100.000 'raw' XP for each champion point.

400 000 exp~436 chests~1600 mammoths.All will depends on how fast you can AOE grind without any people who can steal your exp.

As long as it takes you now to gain 400k xp - Unless I missed a patch note about change to xp gain.

This is of course without the enlightened bonus - which could make a huge difference. As the person below explains.

Remember you can only spend every third point in any given constellation. If you don't care much about one or two of the constellations, you are going to feel that the progression is even slower.

Right now, it's a crapshoot. You can get decent xp/hour aoe grinding mobs in your most-level-appropriate caldwell's zones. Questing seems to be pretty brutally slow (same ~5k xp for quest turn-in). Craglorn mob xp was nerfed to about 1/3 it is on live.

Instead of 400k XP, and x4 Enlightened, it should be 200k XP and x2 Enlightened.

As others have said it really depends on what the gain rate will be once 1.6 is Live with the changes to PvP/Dungeon/Grinding XP gains. 400K doesn't seem out of line too much as Grinders now can make that in a single hour when they try (yes I know Grinding is somewhat harder on PTS atm). I had figured it was going to be between 200-500K before PTS hit so at least I wasn't shocked with some huge number like 1 mil or something lol.

ESO live from last year with Eric and Maria where they elaborated on champion system.

That was quite a while ago - Will be interested to see if we could get an official update on this to make sure nothing has changed.
