Yea, they are horrible. Everything looks okay from the first person view. But in 3rd person O.o oh....

The movements looked so smooth and real before. And now everything looks static weird. The game now looks so much older and worse. I am also sure, they did something to the graphics. I have the same settings as before, but the game looks not as good as before.

Anyway, I hope they reconsider making new animations. I haven't seen melee animations. But the staff animations look like from a cheap MMO. I only like, that everything is faster now somehow. Light attacks happen, as soon as you hit the button, same goes for heavy attacks. The game feels faster now and has more action if you're asking me. But as soon as you switch over to 3rd person view, everything looks weird.

I only just saw a heavy attack from a fire staff... it looked terrible. It's as if he was playing baseball, swinging it like a spastic. The current 1.5 looks good enough, it feels like a power being drawn or channeled from the staff. The new one does not.
The only acceptable adjustment for staff animation would be to have the character stand upright like a true powerful spell user, compared to the current lurched hunchback look.
Fun comes from diversity, balance kills diversity.

The staff animations are really bad. The lightning spasm, the restoration staff walking stick posture, the fire staff hulking lurch. I play female in third person and the animations feel clumsy and masculine. No grace in movement at all. Previous animations were much more acceptable.

The DW animations I have tried are awful, they look like something you'd expect from a cheap console port... ahh, ok I see what they've done...

srsly, i loved the new animations. i can talk about two-handed and resto staff. the new resto staff stand position is so gorgeous. and the new two-handed light atks are awesome, much better now. and the new stealth posture is very nice too, i rly liked.

Not at all. The staffs'new positions are cool, bow's animations are better, and while in stealth mode you doesn't look like you're on the toilet anymore.

What??? Dont tell me new animations are bad! This is one of the most important aspects to me and I was wanting to know opinions about it,cause it seemed now they were going to be a lot better as ZOS said...and now you say this...

Please ZOS fix this. Are you people sending feedback about it?

Some of us actually do like them overall. You should download the PTS to have a look and make up your own mind.

The only thing I personally don´t like is the current shield block animation (no transition between normal and blocking stance whatsoever) and the light staff attacks (again, very little transition).

Ok thanks. Do the new heavy attacks and the melee attacks look more "heavy" now? There are differences between hitting with a two handed vs one handed or dw?
What about the npc collisions and getting angry about it? I read it somewhere in the patch notes.

I can't speak for all of them, but so far I completely agree with OP. Most of the new animations feel really jerky and awkward. There are a few that I kind of like (like the new sneak!), but some are way worse than previous. Who approved these changes at ZOS?

The one that I especially HATE is from the staff line, when you have your weapon out and are standing still. Stick in the ground = thumb up your a**. Seriously, I feel like I'm standing there like an idiot when I should look like I'm ready to fight. That animation would work fine for an emote, but as a battle stance it's SO BAD. GAHH! I cringe every time I see it.

Thanks for stating the obvious. Of course they are opinions, and yes, they matter.
