Issues about Sorcs in 1.6 (PVE)

Surge, which made sorcs unique has gone. For a magicka build sorc, you don't have self heal anymore. What? We have more spell power? DK, NB and Templars, use entropy, it is actually better than surge now!

For Sorcs want to play stamina builds, sorry, templars and NBs and DKs will beat you in everyway. The class skills and passives were not designed for stamina build, bad stamina regen, no armor reduction, no significant damage boost. The new dark exchange? Oh my god... 1s 2s 3s, here we go! What? The fight is over?

Oh, we have all the cute puppets!

You literally have only 1-2 slots to chose if you run a full pet build... exciting, indeed!
And I know you have faith in pet AI, right?

Please! Do not force sorcs to play light armor and Pets! And you nerfed light armor to...

Sorry, just another desperate sorc...

I don't even see why anyone would roll a SORCERER to play STAMINA and not a "mage". There are other classes whose very name suggests they should be the archetypal stamina users.

Said that, I refuse to reroll and be the 10th DK in my trial group, I refuse to play a damn bow with a class with "MAGE" written all over it.

Even going F2P is not a good excuse enough to force our head into rerolling a good class, at this point.

If ZoS wanted to convince former unsubbers-in-disgust like me to pay for their precious "Tamriel Unlimited", this is exactly the opposite way to go.

HOW HARD COULD IT BE to just keep the class as it was and just tweak a couple coefficients to add 200 DPS? Nah, too easy.

Light armor sorcs, forget it. I got absolutely destroyed in the 5 minutes I could put up with it in cyrodiil. Templars are going to rule, with Dk's right behind.

Didn't even hope to still be good in PvP. But apparently now the worst PvE class got worse as well. VR 14 sorc in yellow gear = only good as mule to store materials. Be DK / Temp or die.
How pathetic, years ago I have played a PvP MMO with 10 (ten) different classes per faction each with 2-3 viable specs and except for 1 (as usual they created utility classes and as usual they ended being crap) they played fairly well.
ESO manages to be unable to balance 4 classes in 2015.

do yourself a favor and respec your sorc into a crafting alt. it's sorc's only viable build.

Sorc is useless now, everyone in chat is laughing at them. Just watched a NB take on two groups in spellscar with sap while I got rocked by that group of wasps near the merchant at the wayshrine. You're being penalized for wanting to play a mage.

So ZOS listend to sorcerer players complaints, and nerfed them more into the ground? lol sounds about right for how they operate. Yes, nerf everything a typical sorcerer would use and then buff pets....which have terrible AI....thanks ZOS.

I've been testing the pets on the PTS, and all I can say is they ARE tougher now... which means they die at the same time I do, which is FREQUENTLY.

haha i appreciate the humor at least, makes ZOS destroying my main class a little easier to swallow. At least its only on the PTS, but I'm sure it'll carry forward like all the other terrible nonsense in the past

Sorcerors have been nerfed in some skills but powered in others.
The problem imho is that you cannot tank 10 pple by pressing right mouse button anymore if you're wearing staff&skirt.
And i'm happy for that.
PS: i have chars of all classes.

OMG they were op in Cyrodil...bolt escape and passives were just op.

UPDATE: I got so frustrated trying to make DPS/AOE work, that I totally switched over to a full Daedric Summoning build with healing staff to keep my pets alive...

... and it actually kind of WORKS. I've worked my way up to soloing large packs of VR7 mobs in the Deshaan group delve, will move up to VR8 Shadowfen tomorrow.

By the way, this kind of combat takes FOREVER ... the days of Sorcs burning mobs down fast while crit surge keeps them alive are over.

btw the european chars should be copied to the pTS, aint they? if so is there sth to do to get access to them? hate those generic v14 chars

They will gather data from the PTS I imagine sorcs will receive some buffs by the time 1.6 goes live

Is this some kind of Ironie or are you just to stupid to stupid to read the Patchnotes?
I dont know if the Sorc is getting as god as the other Classes but he dosnt looks broken to me.
We dont need to cast Surge every 20 Seconds because other Casts grants the same Buff like the Mages Guild DoT. Why casting Surge if a Dmg-Cast grants the same Buff?
And why using stupid Pets, they do what they want and dos less Dmg then other Stuff? Just because you wanna get your WoW Sorcerer in ESO?
A Destruction Staff Skillbar with Inner Light, Cristal Fragments and the 3 Dots looks like a good Idea for me atm.

And if i really do less DPS with my Staff, i just press Hotkey #3 and switch to Reaver Sorc Build and Equipp.

sorcs are laughable still in 1.6.....not happy with them after testing it out on PTS.....they have some ok features, but pets are still meh and the damage from skills are still.......*sighs* @zos this saddens my vr14 sorcs heart. He might be getting shelved. I refuse to play my vr14 dk, and I dont want to level another guy, not my thing to go through ALL that again lol

Guess when it goes B2P I can happily know I wont be needing to fund them anymore to play it. why did you do this to us ZoS??
