For the most part, the changes look good, but there are a few I'd like to discuss.
First is the change to molten weapons for dragonknights. I find all of the other dragonknight changes to be fine, and it looks like an overall buff, but molten weapons is a huge source of damage when soloing with my dragonknight tank character. When you're in 7 heavy armor using a sword and shield, you dont have a lot of sources of decent damage, so having that extra damage and fire damage bonus on my weapon attacks was great and let me trudge through fights a little more efficiently.
The patch seems to be granting an overall boost to the damage potential of molten weapons (40% bonus damage on all heavy attacks, and extra with the morph for low health targets), however it's reducing the duration from the roughly 1.5 minutes it currently has to a paltry 7 seconds. For a tanking character who has to watch resources very carefully, this means that molten weapons becomes essentially useless even when soloing: You'll have to recast it every 7 seconds, which is going to put a huge strain on magicka and greatly limit the casting of any other class abilities. It seems like we would gain more benefit by simply replacing molten weapons with something else for damage now.
I understand why the duration was reduced, and in the past there were a lot of comparisons between surge (20 seconds) and molten weapons (90 seconds) since they're essentially identical abilities, but I think reducing the duration by almost 1300% was a bit over the top.
The next is this system with major and minor buffs and their stacking. Particularly, I'm concerned with this change on my nightblade who runs a 2hander setup. It seems like momentum will no longer stack with power extraction, and neither will likely stack with the new damage bonus from the haste replacement. I'm probably going to see a huge reduction in weapon power on my nightblade with the changes, especially in aoe situations where power extraction will now only be providing something like a 20% weapon power buff instead of the 99% it could provide before.
I do absolutely love most of the other changes though. The fact that I can morph surprise attack for a stamina ability now means that, using a 2handed weapon, I'll have an instant spammable attack to use other than wrecking blow, and it's going to be keeping bolstering shadows active much more of the time now so my nightblade will be significantly more durable.
