Will wearing a wedding dress earn you Champion Points?

The title is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it leads to a valid point: With the developers giving the game "room to breathe" after 1.6, how will maxed out players earn Champion Points? The anticipated zones, such as Imperial City and Orsinium, and other delectable items like Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild, probably won't see the light of day till next Fall. So those players currently at vet level 14 won't have too much to do aside from PVP to earn the types of experience that would earn Champion Points.

Another point: A number of players have stated that the change to B2P is not that bad because essentially you can continue to pay the $15/month in ESO Plus and life would proceed pretty much in the same way it has been going since launch. But the subscription model was very much based on the promise of new content every 4-6 weeks. I'm not sure if the "room to breathe" is a temporary manifestation due to the enormous effort put into 1.6 and console release, or if the "room to breathe" is a permanent fixture. If it's the latter case, I, for the life of me, cannot find any reason to pay $15/month for xp boost, middling potions, and costumes. And, I am a very devoted fan of this game.

yea thats kinda the point. its time to bring in new players. content will stagnate while new players and console players get caught up.after all they have 4 platforms to develop for now. but i doubt anything from store will earn you champion points. never know tho lol

I think 'room to breath' is referring more to the major changes to gameplay mechanics, systems and balance.
Seeing how these changes play out on live for a while before making any further adjustments.
But DLC can be added sooner that doesn't introduce any new game changing systems, just new zones/quests.

techincally already their with 10% to exp with eso plus.

this is about to turn into copycat of gw2 , but with some raiding at end game.
game will prolly rely on pvp for majority of players, and pve will be mostly rp stuff . or silly events like "who can sneak past sand crabs".....and they will call that pve lol

The developers stated yesterday that time-savers like experience boosters will be available in the Crown Shop, so there won't just be the boost that comes with continuing to pay the subscription fee; there will also be boosters that anybody can buy there.

DLC of any kind is not going to happen until after June when the console launches though there will still be game updates from time to time. So if you're picturing a whole bunch of new content after 1.6 is launched, you are probably going to be disappointed.

While it's clear the developers knew a change to pay model was likely and kept it to themselves, it's not clear how long they've been working on the Crown Shop, but there's still a lot of work to do to make all those shiny vital things like wedding gowns and mountable pigs and such. Maybe there will even be a pumpkin coach pulled by white mice so that everybody will know they are playing in Disneyland now.

So what about Rings of Mara? Does not that count as a fairless advantage? They are not cash shop items but they were obtained by paying extra $$$ so wheres the difference?

What I hope is they dont let the XP bonus to sum up, so if you are wearing a Ring of Mara and playing with the other person, you get 10% whatever you are ESO+ or not and using pots or not.

Allowing people to stack xp bonifications does not look like a good deal, but I guess they already thought about it.

Yes, if you do something expee-worthy while wearing it ;-þ

But there are still enough ways for people to earn ChP. Most already mentioned. Also, I doubt all -that- many have maxed out ALL their alts, since alt ChP gain counts for the whole account, they can earn.

Still, more daily quests would be nice to have, not just the cyrodil stuff and crafting writs, or undaunted pledges, but maybe something along the lines of the old random quests from "TES:Daggerfall"...

As for XP boosts... I think those who spend crowns on them are fools. Why pay for something that just gets you in 55 minutes what others get in an hour?? Just not worth the price, however low. better save those crowns and spend a little more time I'd think...

    Thanks for the laugh.
Yes they are definitely endgame options for those that like banging their head on a brick wall
I paid a subscription for genuine content not being bent over by Zenimax. Instead of content we got official grinds and a new levelling system.

Are they? I honestly have not seen XP boosters listed on any of the Crown Store preview lists. Now, that might just mean I missed them, but, do you have something to back that up or is it just, "well all games have XP boosters in their stores."

    -2 pledges a day.
    -2 trials a week: weekly+coffers
-why would I want to do those? and how do they replace usual quests that were interesting and not repetitive?
-Done for the achievement, no reason to do them now.
-Well, pretty much delves and dailies should've been in this category. No other reason to do them - just grinding.

So are we supposed to consider grinding as an okay option comparable to doing quests and having fun? Like seriously, you think we should be glad that we are forced to grind to stay competitive?

Or will we get as much XP for 2 dungeons a day+2 trials a week as a person who does quests during the entire week?
Also, as far as I remember, they don't give XP for time you spend looking for a group, looking for potions, explaining fights, wiping because someone else didn't get what to do etc.

What is PvP exp like now? And what will it be like in 1.6?

It was pretty paltry as of a couple months ago when I quit, and with the Champion system (and having done all the VR content on my main) there's little to do but mindless dungeons/dailies/grinding.

At least with PvP it is unpredictable.

I've watched you defend this game for a long time but now you're just scraping the barrel.

I've shook my head a few times in your general direction but never outright laughed.

You calling grinding "content" made me laugh. You've literally just balled any credibility you may have had and thrown it out of the window.
