Apparently they were accidentally removed from the loot table. It's second-hand info from someone who went to a guild summit or something. Hopefully fixed in 1.6. Hopefully not the first cash shop exclusive.

We can confirm that the ring is, in fact, dropping from enemies in the Mage Trial, at an (intentionally) low rate. However, note that it only drops from regular monsters, not from any of the bosses. -
