Brian Wheeler of ZOS offered this Cyrodiil update over in the General Discussion section which people here might want to read.

Some of the things mentioned in the Summit (and on these forums) will be addressed in Update 6, such as Siege damage, keep wall health, and underscore bonus time frames in the 30 day campaigns. We're also adding Veteran 13 and 14 gear to the rewards you can receive in Cyrodiil, in Update 6.

We are well aware there are more things to address in Cyrodiil (making fights more meaningful and general population balance to name a few), but to be direct, our immediate primary focus is addressing the performance spikes. Granted, I don't know C++ and digging into the nitty-gritty of our net-code and engine, but we do have people that are working on this complex issue. I hear it every day, not just from you (the players) but internally too. We are working on it, and will continue to do so.

The population change was not something we did lightly and while the deer and torchbug nuke was seen as something a bit silly, it does help in the overall game performance in Cyrodiil. We know there are more recent concerns with population and finding fights, and we are looking at addressing those in the future as well. There are several changes in Update 6 with underlying systems to tweak and push performance to achieve improvements, and I know they are not nearly as fancy as new systems and new gear, but all of that is for nothing if performance is not up to par.

So, thank you for continuing to voice your concerns and suggestions. We do see them, and are dedicated to improving the PVP experience in ESO for all our current and future players.

    Well at least they are acknowleding the issue. I like things mentioned in first paragraph like siege dmg and walls hp. Maybe, since he said they are working on it, lag will be reduced significantly.
    That's what we wanted to see, a clear response from ZOS stating their plans and goals for game. Wasn't that hard, was it?

    So honestly, I have had far less lag after deer and torch bugs were nuked @ZOS_BrianWheeler‌

    On that note, can we get rid of other critters like lions and wolves?

    Lag spikes are few and far between. I changed nothing with my setup. Coinsidence? Maybe... I'm willing to nuke everything for lag free battles.

    Dare I say, "Nuke PvE in Cyrodiil?

    When was the last time @ZOS_BrianWheeler‌ actually communicated with us? This time it was only after the reddit and questions about him being MIA.

    Spending 5-10 min a week to at least pop in and say "no news" is leader 101, IMO and we never get this.

    Instead, reactionary involvement only. Funny, that seems to be consistent with ZOS response to PvP issues.

    Either his boss isn't holding him accountable, or hasn't seen it yet, maybe both.

    Yeah, rather than blowing effing-sunshine like I normally do in these forums, I'm steaming about zero mention of PvP through this latest round of their PR. I get that their PR style is all puppies and effing rainbows, but that's BS for people who know different, old school and rarely works out.

    Regarding his boss and accountability I mentioned above... Yes, his boss, bosses boss, bosses bosses boss etc... could be what is preventing him from doing this (more likely). This is why I recommended a while back that if he wasn't already, he should be looking for opportunity elsewhere. Being the face of PvP, even if you're just a pawn in the game, it affects your career (I've been there). It could be his call too, but not likely... Either way, it's ZOS-BS.

    My speculation about the PvP team being dedicated to console is that compared to basic PvE, console and PvP are more challenging to code/program well. One is a new code base the other is full of issues (PvP). So you don't just go hire any C++ devs to do this. The C++ers are still out there (few true good ones IMO), but usually this type of code is not exactly your industry standard.

    It seems it may have many PVE elements to it, including a rumored 4 man PVE dungeon; but PVP can occur throughout much of it supposedly.

    Feeling of importance is irrelevant and not the point I was making.

    So a real world example is that my clients get regular check-ins, even when there's nothing new to report (good or bad). It builds a relationship with them over time. If I make good on my commitments, the relationship is easily made healthy (of course). However, things are going to go wrong and when they do if the relationship is strong (sticky) my clients stay through the good and bad.

    I do not know of anyone from ZOS working to foster a relationship with dedicated PvPers. Who knows why, but these are low time and effort actions on their part that go a long way.

    Take @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ for example. Yes she does has the benefit of posting information provided to her by others, but she also pops-in all the time just to joke around with us. Such things seem very simple but as humans these things go a long way. It may be coincidence, but notice she's only person always on ESO live. I know I'd frown if she wasn't on when I watched and it's not just because she wears Led Zepplin t-shirts but because she makes an effort to get back to us when she can... just to repeat an answer sometimes too.

    Im really excited about gear he talked about, I wonder how theyll implement it. Will it be new gear, will they add onto existing ones by adding proper traits or missing parts? Id love to see some of the vr12 13 gear drops you get from other places into those vendors, like Archers mind set *drool*. Foremost there needs to be more variety and the right traits to even bother picking them up.
