Looking forward: Can ZOS recover? What would it take? Or has it gone too far?

A lot of people are leaving ESO but I am sure many don't actually want too. We would all love to happily continue playing this game, but now ZOS' actions have pushed many to leave.

For those of you leaving but wish you didn't have too, what would ZOS have to do to recover? Or, have they pushed things too far for you to consider coming back?

I came to TESO primarily for the 3-way medieval-like warfare in cyrodiil. As long as it still has that, i am not going anywhere - at least not until a game that does it better comes out.

As far as ZOS recovering is concerned - i don;t think they have anything to recover from. The new model will probably be better for them (even if not better for the players), and the game will have no problems surviving.

    Interesting thread OP.
Step 1- Offering an apology for misleading their player base about going b2p.

Step 2- Offering pro rata refunds to those who are already subbed beyond the B2P conversion date.

Step 3- Offering original players subscriptions that include all cash shop items.

Though who would pay that subscription, if content gets released only twice a year in the future?

Content, that is more akin to GW2 Living Stories, than epic raids and/or interesting end game content.

Checkout Camelot Unchained. They -seem- to be committed to doing an MMO right. Too bad, its at best, a year away.

When someone uses the expression 'fraction', it is already implied that the number is low. The vocal minority always think they are more important than they really are.

Arguably because minorities are the only ones who get screwed in populist enviroments. :) (Argumentum ad populum ftw!!) No, actually that was a rebuttal to a pet peeve of mine: indeterminate numeration. One of the first things we learned in philosophy class was how to spot bovine scatology in a debate. Indeterminate numeration, percentages quoted out of context, and ratios without comparisons are signs of a weak argument reinforced with the appearance of strong numbers. (Not your argument, mind you.)

They are only well off enough for a console release because we paid for a years worth of subs, and for me to continue to pay for those subs the company that promised new content ever 4-6 weeks need to offer new content more quickly than the 8-12 months it looks like we will be waiting now, and a way to block the B2Players that will come back and spam chat with "told you so that's why I stopped paying x months ago.", or "I knew this game would got B2P that's why I didn't pay for the first year."
