I'm sorry, but I can't take any of this seriously anymore. Every time I read one of them saying "we have no plans to... [add armor to the cash shop, add anything that gives players an advantage, go pay to win]", all I can think about is Paul Sage saying "we have no plans" to change the sub model.

We have yet to find out if full impenetrable will fully reduce crit damage. I think it would be balanced at about 2/3rds extra damaged being shaved off with full gold impen.

@DDuke, that's what I mean. I feel like we were left with so many expectations, and now we're told that development is going directly into Update 1.6 and Tamriel Unlimited. Having the justice system live before PvP, Thieves' Guild, and Dark Brotherhood seems like too much realism for no gains.

Jup. The expectations were set at QuakeCon where they showed us all the stuff to come. And the only things we got out of that are upper Craglorn and veteran CoA. We were all wondering what they could put into the next update, if the Imperial City was finally ready, if one of the new crafting styles would be added (still waiting for undaunted), so on and so forth. Now we know that in the meantime, they fundamentally changed the direction of the game and used our sub not to create the P2P content we were promised, but to turn this game into a carnival for console players.
We thought the game was gaining track with all the content in the pipe, but instead they went completely off the rails.

There is no reason to subscribe to this game anymore, which will only increase their dependance on the cash shop. Expect nothing after they release the DLCs they have teased in the livestream, which could be sometime mid 2016. There is no longevity in this game anymore.

ESO is dead. Long live Tamriel Limited.

Thanks for the wall of text. I didn't go through every bit of it but did a lot of reading.

Matt said that he and cronies didn't look at xp bonus being Pay 2 Win. But every mmo that took this approach is considered Pay 2 Win. You know the saying, a rose by any other name is still a rose.

It was also said that currently there is no plans to add in game items that will give players an advantage. We was also told in the beginning that pay gates/walls is not best for ESO. And was also told that there was no current plans to go any route other than subscription. Now we are going B2P so take that for a clue to what is ahead.

Simply put you can add only so many costumes and mounts before people stop buying. Anyone know what 20 stable slots will cost? Once the vanity sales decline and when the rush of the give me, give me, give me crowd starts asking for and demanding for in -game stated items Zos is going to give it to them. Zos never said it won't happen.

If you remain a subscriber, you get screwed. You pay for subscription each month and get to rent the new dlc every 3 to 4 months for $45 to $60 in subscriptions. But those who don't use the subscription will be paying $15 or $20 every 3 or 4 months and gets to keep the dlc. Subscriptions lose the dlc if they drop the subscription. You will also need to buy the dlc if you want the content. So $60 +$15 =$75 + all other content you now need to buy.

Zos is in the same game as Blizzard, SOE , EA and all the other companies .

Already unsubbed, they lied to us about everything else, why would I trust them anymore?

I don't know how anyone can believe anything they say in these AMA after all the nonsense they changed, it makes me laugh reading their answers though, all I think is surrrrrreeee, until you change your mind in a month or two after its release lol

This I will disagree with, strictly because people LOVE that vanity stuff. Look at the Blizzard store, it sells hundreds of thousands of vanity items, and there is no sign of them stopping. Vanity items is where the real money is, F2P/B2P games have been proven to make a company more money than a sub based game as people who play those spend a lot more than $15 a month on that store.

I can name a bunch of stuff I plan on buying once the store goes live.

Even without adding "P2W" items the store will always be profitable aslong as they continue to add costumes, pets, mounts to the game. That wedding dress, if they also include a male version like a Tux or something similar that fits into the ESO attire will sell like hot cakes. I know a ton of RPers who will enjoy that.

That Jester suit, I know at least one guild that has already claimed that as their outfit and will require it's members to wear that when PvPing. Personally, I think that's awesome, and it's going to be hilarious watching a bunch of Jesters going around Cyrodiil sieging keeps and what not.

As for the Matt Firor quotes of him saying PayGates aren't ESO. They weren't, but in order to compromise and ensure that all platforms get to enjoy the same experience some things need to change.

As of right now, they are saying they won't add any Gear or Items to the store, I have no reason to disregard that. 12 months from now, that might change, but until then, why stress over something that may or may not happen. Play the game for what it is, not what it will be in 12 months.

    What it is, is awesome.

That being said, I'm not a major fan of the comment about no major updates until after consoles is released. While 1.6 is a massive patch it really doesn't offer much in the way of end game content. Yes Champion Points are great, but when you step back and look at what level cap players will have to do, it's the same stuff as now, with the exception of stealing or tattling, Hopefully we'll see some trial, or new vet dungeon to keep players enjoying the game. You can only do the same undaunted dailes so many times, and once you've earned your 2 piece set and capped your Undaunted skill lines you don't ever need to do them again.

I'd like to see the crown market like a real market located somewhere in the game, with a merchant, for the lore. I don't like to press a key button to pop it on, it remember me of korean f2p games.

Who'd be the crown vendor? Maybe that dillweed in Davon's Watch who's always talking about Dominion soldiers drinking blood when you walk past. Ha!

More than likely, there will be a crown button added to every merchant's buy and sell menu.
Been there, got the Molag Bal polymorph.

When can players expect bugs that have been in the game for months, to be fixed? Grouping tool and guild management of your own items are two examples.

Considering that console version will not have add-ons and that soon after console launches, console players will start demanding better UI, how will you balance your work on console UI with your lack of work on PC/Mac UI? Toggle for guild notifications will probably be one of the first demands.

I too am worried about all these answers that start with 'We have no plans...' It's a very non-committal response. A definitive 'yes' or 'no' is all that's needed. For example:

Q: Will you sell armors sets or weapons in the Cash Shop?

A: No. We will never sell them in the Cash Shop. Ever. We will give everyone a refund if we do.

Would you believe that? It's not like they haven't made such promises before, only to tramp all over them at a later time. Let's face it, the only fact we can definitely count on, is that Sage and other leeches are not trustworthy.
They may appear as passionate game developers and all that, but their integrity as professionals has taken a back seat, behind a huge pile of dirty laundry.

Honestly, I wouldn't. Just trying to make a point that if they really believe what they're saying then they wouldn't hide behind non-commital statements when answering questions. By not being definitive, whether consciously or unconsciously, they've already betrayed themselves. One needs only to read between the lines to know that their plans may change in the future. And if they were sincere enough, they would tell it as it is. But in fairness, they themselves might not truly know how this new system will develop. I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

We took just over a year playing and I have only two questions:

    - when are you going to fix the bug combat? many players suffer this problem, which we are less likely than the rest of paying the same. Do you think somehow compensate? I spend 45k gold for failing to use a horse ... among other things ..

Less the product manager of many companies has been dismissed ..

    - are you going to solve the lag in the game or you do not know to fix it?

seen no answer, then I have more questions:

why not work me skills in pvp?
    - NB dark cloak, or whatever, does not guarantee me a critic ever, does a fear work 1 of 3 times ... due to combat bug no added combat bonuses sneak
    - DK, dont work flames of oblibion, dragon fire scales work 4 of 5

    - templar, i dont play with templar, impossible

and more surreal. after death, why I have to change weapons, to teletport?

why after resurrect, i cant port? cant ride? is normal after resurrect go from alessia to farragut running, ? cant take horse...

dont say me write support, support dont have solutions...I'm tired of writing to support at all, tired of games Send reportSo what is your solution? in that order of priority you have the solution to combat bug?

In this game there are two kinds of players ?, normal and we pay the same to be less possibilities?

I'm not protecting ZOS, I'm just saying that digging up an old thread to post stuff that's completely unrelated to that thread topic is pointless.
