Battlegrounds Coming to Tamriel (possibly)

We are still looking at plans for possible 'battlegrounds' being introduced to the game. Whether such content would be DLC (paid for expansion) or something we deliver in a normal update is not known at this time.

Not surprised a lot easier to do that for people who don't like some of the long ques on the ep or ad side of things need places to go

That's great news, but I feel like it would take them 1 year+ from now to implement battle grounds or dueling..

Sadly I agree with Sypher, it will be awesome to have this in ESO; however, with their lack of commitment to PVP over the past year, I fear it wont happen for a long while.

So, on the one hand - I like battlegrounds in other games. On the other, I don't have an AvA option in most games and that's why I'm playing ESO. I would be somewhat concerned that battlegrounds might cannibalize much of the pvp population. I suppose both Warhammer and DAoC had some form of battlegrounds (though when you were at max level, RvR was your only option in DAoC). I guess if I had my ruthers, I'd prefer PvP development centered on additional focal points within Cyrodil.

Well hopefully eso battlegrounds don't have timers like tors did, was fun with my jedi shadow going sheath and with a few others and waiting for timers to run out...good thing cloak has a time duration

"Still looking at plans" means it ain't happening any time soon and will only happen if people are willing to pay for it.

BGs possibly coming in the distant future means we still have time to influence their design, and possibly prevent a bg disaster

But who knows if they will listen...

And who knows, if console launch goes well enough, and cyrodiil lag is worse on consoles (as some believe, not entirely convinced, we will have to see how the beta goes) bg development might get accelerated.
