I would ask if it possible to have your account be independent of the format you use. So if you have an account that account remembers my characters and it would not matter if I log on pc or ps4, that would just decide which server. You'd need to buy the game for each format you want to play on, but once you did that, you could go from one to the other while still progressing the same characters.

I think that would give some real flexibility and stops you ever loosing progress if you ever changed format. It also lets people play with friends on different formats, while keeping the same characters.

I hope that could be possible.

    Not possible.

The PC, X-Box and PS4 servers are totally distinct from one another. There's no way to link characters between them.

    Not possible.

I'm pretty sure then when you log in on any format, it will need to check your membership details, which will be checked on a web based database. If that database is the one tracking your characters, format does not matter.

Your characters are tied to their servers as well as their account. The servers are 100% distinct. X-Box One players won't be able to play with PC players won't be able to play with PS4 players. They can't have characters that move fluidly between each server for a whole host of technical reasons, never mind the inevitable exploits players would find.

It simply isn't going to happen.

Just to be clear, you do understand that I'm saying tie the characters to the account rather than server, right?

There are already games that let you log into any server with your current characters, so the tech to do that is not new.

I'm not aware of any games that have cross-platform character transfers like that, but I'm open to being corrected.

This game was not set up with that system in mind, and it doesn't make sense. Want to play on console? Play on console. Want to play on PC? Play on PC.
