12 month reward if u subbed/redubbed?

Just curious if a player is still eligible for the 12 month loyalty reward (after 12 full subbed months of course) if they unsubbed to waste a month playing destiny (...:(...) And then redubbed.
Will the reward still be available to that player once they hit their 12th full subbed month?, or would they have had to be continually subbed?
