Will Veteran Ranks Still Be In Tamriel Unlimited?

VR will still be in when 1.6 rolls out. They plan to remove them as soon as the Champion System is balanced to their satisfaction, so they may or may not still be part of the game when the new payment model hits.

But I'd assume they plan on getting rid of VR by the time the console release happens.

What I don't understand is, if Veteran Ranks are being phased out, why are they introducing VR10 Provisioning recipes in 1.6?

And will you continue gaining exp for cp having VR14+1.000.000?
The xp bar bdoesnt show more progression,even with addons. So...will they add another bar or smt?
If they wait until June there will be a lot of people with various VR chars geared with vr armor that will get downgraded to 50,etc....

I mean,wont be all these a mess?

They spoke to this in ESO Live (I believe), and they said they're still ironing out the details of how they plan on keeping gear/items balanced when they take Veteran Ranks out. I don't think they gave any concrete ideas, but it's clear that they want a plan in place before the final stage of the transition.

Edit: And you will be able to gain XP towards Champion Points as soon as 1.6 drops, regardless of your level (assuming you're over 50, of course). They stated that explicitly when they re-did the CP numbers.

Personally I would presume they will remove veteran ranks just as the big switch comes, as to not get the same gripes they got from this player base from all the new console players... but that's just an guess. Still leaves them months to iron out the bugs and balance things...

Personally, I never gave much tought to the veteran ranks, Though I really would like to see the champion system soonest, and start earning ChP... but then, I expect I am hardly alone in that matter
