Hireling Station

I've seen and heard many recommendations and arguments for modifying the hireling emails, such as making them all arrive at a set time, or having the mails associated with the player's bank, and several others. Below is my recommendation for modifying the hireling system:

The Hireling Station, a location in the city, much like many of the other stations we frequent in our travels, would be a natural spot for the hireling to begin and end his journey, and a natural place for him to drop off the spoils of his efforts. Calling up the interface of the Hireling Station, the player would see whatever items await final disposition, since they would have been delivered to the station at their designated time, whether or not the player actually logged onto the game.

This system would allow players to gain full benefit of the skillpoints they've spent by ensuring they don't lose their hirelings' loot just because they can't log into the game every 12 hours, since the items would continually accumulate directly at the Hireling Station until "looted" by the player.

It would also bring an end to the excessive emails inherent in the current system. I know that forcing the player to "trigger" the hireling by logging into the game helps avoid the unbridled proliferation of hireling emails. It comes at the expense of making players log in on a twice-daily basis if they wish to get full benefit of their 3/3 hireling expenditures. Taking the mail system out of the hireling process alleviates these problems altogether.

As a compromise, should the developers decide this plan is unworkable or undesirable, I would recommend at least modifying the current system to allow "triggering" the hirelings at 10 and 20 hours, instead of 12 and 24 hours, under the same concept as the 20-hour horse-feeding timer, which allows players to feed horses every day without the inevitable time loss they would incur with a 24-hour timer. If they allowed players to do the same with their hirelings, it would also avoid the same problem.

Anyway, I'm curious to know what others think, particularly ZOS. Thanks for reading.
