I enjoy ESO, but I can't decide if being lied to by the parent company for months is worth it.

Very good point. Holding back dev time and lying to your players about it is pretty freaking low.

I feel like a money sponge, maybe I should get out before I get squeezed too hard.

I've unsubbed for that very reason. I already feel like a fool for having paid $15x9 months for what I thought was going to be regular patches to fix things and new content. Instead we got force fed some very ill conceived content and little in the way of fixes and, lest I forget, the VR system.

Maybe this B2P will turn out fine, at least in the short run. But I am not willing to risk it; not willing to continue to pay money on the belief that ZOS will do the right thing, let alone do what they say. Furthermore, I am not willing to support a model that has infected the gaming industry as a whole. Money talks.

That is kinda the thing I am wrestling with. They already did the WRONG thing by lying to their customers faces since beta.

This decision was either the plan all along, OR was made several months ago (I would guess 6+) given the DEV content released today. Either way we as a player base have been lied to and manipulated.

I enjoy the game, but I'm not sure if Im going to keep playing or let my money talk and walk away.

Sadly, if I walk away they will think its cause of F2P, when it would be more about being lied to and treated like crap.

What is worse in my opinion is they said in their video today that the players asked for this and wanted it (B2P).... who are they listening to?
This was never discussed in the forums (Developer discussions) officially that I ever saw.

No matter what anyone on these forums are going to do (sub / un sub), the sad truth is this will, in the end, make Zenimax more cash... And Cash > Quality of game is just a fact of life these days. If Zenimax can't / won't keep a sub model then I declare the sub based model is officially dead.

I may end up quitting myself, but make no mistakes, that will change nothing. If you're going to quit do so fully understanding that life and eso will go on.
