What DLC content will be available at release?

I'm sure most people who will continue to play will cancel their subs, since content will be a la carte. The only incentive that could keep people subbed is if there's DLC available at launch. If there's no DLC available at launch, that means the full game is available for free until they make DLC available.

Appearantly DLC content will be what the 1.x updates were until now. There will probably free components and paid ones, like in most b2p games.

Right now it looks like 1.6 would hit around the same time as the conversion, draw your own conclusions.

At this point, my biggest concern is that I feel I've paid for the creation of the next several DLC with my current and past sub money... If I choose to cease paying a monthly fee in March I'll no longer be eligible for the content I've already, essentially, paid for.

The FAQ stated 1.6 and Justice/Champion systems will not be for-pay DLC. I'm sure major releases afterwards will be, but 1.6 will not. From the FAQ:

"What restrictions are being placed on the game and players now that subscriptions are no longer required to play?

None. The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is the full version of the game, with all previous updates and content additions, including the new Champion and Justice systems."

They've confirmed in another thread that Justice will be part of the base game, and not DLC, so I wouldn't be so sure that 1.x upgrades will be paid. If they're smart, they will separate content from engine, charge for content updates and only upgrade the engine when necessary. They'll probably have a core underfunded team working on the stability of the engine, with better funded teams producing DLC until such a time as it is not profitable.

Has anyone found any links to an Intended DLC schedule? Will Craglorn be DLC, or part of the base game? Is Wrothgar the first intended DLC, and how far out is it?

So far the only thing that looks to be DLC is future Zones like Wrothgar, the coming Group Zone Mirkmire (or w/e it's called), the new Dwarven Zone and probably Imperial City. At least that was the impression I got from Paul Sage when he talked about it. ESO Plus folks will have full access to all DLC's without any additional cost. And it's likely the DLC's will only be $5-10 in line with other games DLC's on Consoles. If they spread out new Zones (DLC's) by 2-3 months then that route would actually be cheaper than ESO Plus for those who don't care about the bonuses.

They were VERY clear that everything in game post 1.6 will be part of the game, i.e. no DLC required. Wrothgar is imo 5+ months away, likely AFTER Console launch.

Given the AMA they just did 1.6 will have no new content, and none is planned prior to the console launch. Meaning 8 months worth of subscription, minimum, with no new content. If you don't include wedding dresses.

Well if HBO promised to put a new episode of girls out every 4-6 weeks and you paid for a years worth of subscription and it turned out that they only put on 1 episode every 8 weeks then told you they were going to recast the show and give you the opportunity to watch the old episodes with the new cast, but not release a any more new episodes for 8 months, and that even though you have already paid for that 8 months of service your really not going to get any new content then sure this analogy works, but really its apples and oranges.
