PC Controller support finally coming??

With the now impending console release and the controller UI shown in the latest twitch stream, does this mean we soon could have native controller play on the PC?

I would think so given the amount of Home Theater PC's (HTPC's) out there, steam play, nvidia shield options, and streaming PC pass though boxes... it seems like a no brain'er to add this support.

Right now I use straight jacket controller support to play the game with a controller. It's pretty good but nothing beats a native interface.

I know people that play Skyrim with controller mods even though it has native support on the PC. I wouldn't foresee that it would block other options.

What controller do y'all recommend for someone wanting to experiment to see if they can play with a controller? I'm contemplating console for various reasons but haven't played one since FF7 on PS1.

I use an xbox 360 controller but I have also heard the PS4 controller on a PC works good because the touch pad in the middle can be modded to use the mouse pointer.

Among the tidbits from recent ZOS talks, they said both controller and voice are in the works, but definitely will not happen with console release.

I use an Xbox360 wireless controller for PC, it works great. So used to it, I'm crap if I try to go KB/M. Wireless controllers are <$40 on Amazon.

Probably mid-summer or fall of 2015. Hopefully with the first update after the console release. I'm sure they just want to get through all that craziness before anything else. Console release will be make or break for the game but I foresee it being a huge success honestly. especially after playing 6.1 on the PTS. Almost feels like a new game!
