Hey all,

I have come up with this concept of a leveling build for my Dragonknight and I would love to get some feedback.

Attributes: 0/49/0
Armor: 5 Light 1 Medium (to level just in case) and 2 heavy (for looks shoulders and chest and just to level)

Try to go with 5 warlocks if possible for the magicka regen.

1st bar (AoE trash clearing / questing)
1.) Indigenous Weapons -or- Razor Armor (preference here for you)
2.) Burning Talons (CC + DoT)
3.) Unstable Flame (DoT + Epic damage)
4.) Lava Whip
5.) *open skill* - suggestions are GDB (for survival), Magelight (for Dot Crit) or whirlwind (ruffian synergy with burning talons) or Lava Whip...

I usually prefer whirlwind since it is has great synergy with the talons ability.

2nd bar (Single Target for quest bosses)
1.) Razor Armor
2.) Unstable Flame (light attack weave)
3.) Rending Slashes (light attack weave)
4.) Lava Whip
5.) Green Dragon Blood

Ultimate ability:

Standard of Might is a good option that most DK's take for the AOE ability + resource regen...my thought process is to move away from this due to the 1.6 changes to ulti generation...we cannot spam Standard as efficiently as we used to.

I would suggest taking a look at Dragon's Leap / Take Flight...

It gives amazing upfront damage (front loaded) and provides a hard CC (knockback) which when combined with burning talons really makes leveling easy....also the ulti cost on this is pretty low (atm for me 135 ult) so I can spam it rather quickly.

What is everyone's thoughts?

Well to keep this alive, I will add a post. Personally I gave up on the DK. I started one and walked away at level 20. I also changed alliances, but want to start the DK again. I am hoping that people will drop some pointers. I think the problem that is going to arise is that too many people don't "know" what 1.6 is going to bring and so most of what you will hear is going to change, very soon. Sorry I have nothing to contribute, but I will watch this for some helpful advice.
Follow me if I advance, Kill me if I retreat, Avenge me if I die.

When this immediate evil power has been defeated, we shall not yet have won the long battle with the elemental barbarities. Another evil, it may be an invisible adversary, will attempt, again, and yet again, to destroy our frail civilization. Is it true, I wonder, that the only way to escape a war is to be in it?

If I die, you are forgiven, If I live, I will kill you.

Personally I've been having fun levelling my DK in 7/7 heavy with 1h/shield. It's the only class I've found so far that can maintain a decent levelling speed without using medium or light armor or a heavier weapon - the defense from the heavy armor and shield keeps you alive and you can rely on damage over time from DK abilities to deal most of your damage. Definitely kills faster than my templar did using the same setup.

Well, you can't do 5 light, 1 medium, 2 heavy. Because there aren't enough equipment slots.

    That's my only feedback, sorry.
