A few quick questions

Hi there thanks for taking the time to look in this thread.

I bought the game last night and have a few questions before i start playing.

First off the race/faction lock , i have a guild I used to be a member of in a previous game playing in the DF faction however I wanted to play a wood elf. Is it possible to betray your faction at some point in the game like many other mmo's offer ie age of wushu, bns, eq2 etc..

Secondly I have always enjoyed playing assassin type characters you know stealthy glass cannons (all melee,no range preferably) , how viable are these in eso both PvP and pve but mainly PvP.

And finally with regards to PvP and the veteran ranks, how much will this hinder me in PvP when i reach lvl cap. Do they get huge damage/defense buffs the higher the rank or is it all superficial.

Thanks again for any help

    1) There isn't any option to switch faction at the moment.

    2) Sneaky nightblades are very viable in PVP and solo PVE. In group PVE, fights last for several minutes and you have to provide more sustained damage, but don't worry! Nightblades are good at that too.

    3) Veteran Ranks will mostly impact the gear that players wear. Basically, if your character is VR14 (max vet rank), the gear will be a bit stronger (better stats, you can see for yourself at a crafting station) and you're more likely to have upgraded everything to legendary quality, increasing the stats even further.
Apart from gear, there won't be much of a difference. An extra vet level means 1 extra attribute and skill point, which is what you get at every level between 1 and 50 as well. There is also one campaign opened only to non-vet players, so you're free to go there for more balanced pvp at the beginning.
    Wololo.

Thanks for the quick reply Gyudan

shame about the faction lock but the non veteran campaign should make up for it.

The non-vet campaign is definitely easier when you are leveling up. Don't go into the Vet Campaign at level 10 and expect to get very far.

You might be able to find an Explorer's Pack code online somewhere. This was a pre-order bonus for the game, and allows you to create any race in any faction. This would, for example, allow you to create your Bosmer character in the Daggerfall Covenant.

I remember that being part of the pre order bonus stuff which is why i thought it might have found it's way into the game after all people do love options in mmo's, thanks I'll try and have a look and see what i can find.

And Yeh I'll probably wait to hit lvl cap before joining PvP as iv been reading it's incredibly slow to level in PvP as it stands. Thanks again for the info Aett
