Best way to level or grind?

Seeing as Zenimax for some reason hates people who have 5 or so Veteran 14 accounts and like to have multiple classes in different alliances they remove every grind and players can't deal with the dull questing in the game.

What exactly is the best way to level up a Veteran 8? I've heard questing had given little to no xp? Is there really no way to currently level up fast ?

No, Zeni has no end game so they want the levelling to be as painful as possible.

Theres still enough Grind in the game. Look, I created a char on saturday afternoon. Today it reached lvl 40. Ingame /played is 18 hours.

So yea. eazy grind, eazy life! LvL 50 in 3 days is pretty easy. Give it 4 days if you slack a bit.

Do all dolmens & world bosses, that should level you good :). If you're up to questing, do the main quest only, if you're up to grinding, grind in Craglorn / spellscar. If you plan to use the characters, best do at least main quest for the skill points, that alone should level you a lot as well.

Quest Exp is just fine. It was weird for a while, but that was fixed a while ago.

I took a character to post VR12 just by doing Caldwells Silver and Gold. So, questing is still the best way to level unless you just like grinding over doing other things. I think some zones give better exp than others, like my ADs do not seem to gain as much Exp as the DC's do for one zone. I am talking the VR Instance here, not the alliance. But I am getting around one VR Rank per zone if not more. This is by making sure I get the Adventurer Achievement, all World Bosses, the 3 Dolmens, and the Public Dungeons. Not doing any group dungeons.

Overland mobs near your level give the most exp if your going to just grind, dungeon mobs near your level give the next best amount. There is at least one overland area in each zone that are conducive to grinding on mobs. Then of course the public dungeons are great too as there are so many mobs and they respawn so quickly.

@xMovingTarget‌ Glad to hear it can be done, now tell us how you did it. Lvl 50 in two days doesn't seem possible.

Probably not 2, but 3 is possible

LvL 40 after 18 Hours playtime. From saturday afternoon to monday evening in real time. (6H per day)

(some addon disabled ingame xp counter. you can see the level on wykkyds toolbar on top)

so it should be less than 24 hours to get to 50. I even did a couple mainquests. so i could have been like at least 1h faster easily.

I just used Prydatv´s guide for EP grind on youtube. I always teamed with at least 1 person. i had a friend from 3-26. And today i leveld from 26 to 40 with also always 1 person grinding along. When my bag is full, its full. I dont go to sell it off.

I crafted 5x seducer, 3x magnus on lvl 10. Then crafted it again on lvl 30. I just repaired every now and then. To keep the setbonis up.

Kill everything, and do all the quests, exploration, etc.

I usually get ~300k+ xp per play session that I do.

There should NEVER be any kind of barrier to reaching level cap, only after that in the proverbial gear grind. Unfortunately ZoS didn't understand this when they created ESO. There are only barely enough quests, not including repeatables, to just reach VR10 as the game was designed with VR10 in mind, not the current VR14. You have literally no choice but find grind spots, all of which have been nerfed, to continue on past VR10-12, depending on how much if any grinding/pvp you did while leveling. If you do nothing but quests and the obligatory 3 Dungeons per zone level for the SP then you will run out somewhere north of VR10. Now with scaling often times you get ZERO xp while in a Dungeon with exception to the quest turn in itself, further adding to the problem.

Players should be capable of reaching full level cap with any avenue they take, be that PvP, Questing, Dungeoning, or Grinding. 1.6 will help this some as they are increasing xp gain in Dungeons and PvP, a little too late for many who left after they got bored with VR. Some HATE grinding, but feel required to do so, some HATE quests but feel required to do so, etc. People should always have options to level. In most other MMO's you could literally never leave PvP and hit level cap within a small margin of time of a player who just quested to cap, same thing for those who just want to grind to cap or do nothing but run Dungeons all day. Hopefully ZoS is learning from player's comments and future content will address such issues.

Getting a character up to 50 is not the issue at stake here.

Doing main quests and skyshards on rather fast pace gave me from 30 to 80k xp / hour. (140 hours from V1 to V14)
Several months ago, I reached rythm of one veteran level in about one hour and a half. (20 hours 1-14)
Lately, it was more between 2 and 4 hours depending on the team. (40 hours1-14)
Now I have only found around 5 hours per level.

So, I'm also really interested on the answer to the original question by answer here or even by pm for those in a sharing mood
