Momentum + stacking weapon damage you can pull some great damage from two-handers. DW also has some good builds (though I used it more with my DK) that can provide good DPS. I think there are builds really to pull high DPS from either. I think wrecking blow is the main damager in 2h and flurry for DW. As long as you have good weapon damage, maybe some buffs and DoTs, either can work if you can sustain your stam pool.
I don't consider myself terribly good at the game--im decent--but my DW DK could hold ~700dps depending on the boss. Not terrible but also not great, but that doesn't mean people haven't pulled much much higher with DW.
For a Nightblade Dual Wielding is the best because you have a built in execute. Outside of that, for say a DK or a Templar, 2H is better. That is of course you can rock a 2H just as fine as a NB using the 2H skills.
Bobbity Boop, this game might become poop, but I'll still play because I'm just a pile of goop!
