MMO Mouse Advice

FriedArgonian
Hello. So I just got a logitech g600. I like it, but to use it I have to put my whole hand on top, so the bottom of my wrist cannot rest on the mousepad. Is there a smaller mmo mouse out there that I can use where the bottom of my wrist can rest on the mousepad, it would just be more comfortable that way.

Am thinking of the corsair m95, does anyone out there use it. And if so, what do you think of it?
Also looking at the razer hex, but Ive read that razer products do not last long.

Thanks for your time.

Personally have a 2014 Naga that fits my hand nicely while allowing my wrist to rest on the desk.
Do not personally play like this though; have a mouse pad with a gel wrist rest.

I've had a Naga Hex for some time now....never had any issues with it. Works great for me. I've heard the same with Razer products and can slightly vouch for it, because I had a keyboard go out after a month of use....

I don't have a Naga Hex, but I tried the Logitech G600 MMO and the Razer Naga Expert MMO gaming mouse and they both suck because the buttons are too close together and I was always pressing the wrong buttons.

I think that the Naga Hex is a better design for playing ESO because you have 6 buttons arranged in a circle that are easy to find, and five of the buttons could be used to activate skills and one for the ultimate. There may be a center button in between the six, I'm not sure.

I still use the G600, but only because I like 3 full mouse buttons on top, left button for attack, middle button for block, and right button for move foreword, and the scroll wheel button for sprint. The rest of the buttons I don't use.

I don't like the button layout on the left side of the Corsair m95; I would try before I buy.

At least with me, animation cancelling seems to more difficult using one hand on a mouse doing all the combat functions.

I use a Naga Hex, perfect for this game (five buttons for skills, one for sprinting) and perfect for GW2 too. Had it about a year now and never looked back. :)

I'm happy with my G600, but I'll add another vote for Naga Hex. I think it would work great with ESO's small hotbar.

I had a razor Lachesis that lasted 6 years before the laser stopped functioning and that went through a few years of hard core gaming.

I think The Lachesis was the last mouse that offered on board memory. The newer razor mice do not. The Logitech mice have on board memory. I find that the razor mice add more mouse button and macro binding options. However, the g502 offers 12k dpi. I think the highest the razor goes to is 8k. It really is all up to personal preference.

I have a similar problem with my Roccat Tyon, however that's ok because I have tended to use the keyboard for most things. I now use three extra settings on the mouse "Ultimate" top, "Interrupt" Thumb down, "Weapon Swap" Thumb Up.

Really, it's about how many movements you can make without looking at the mouse.

Old Razer Naga Molten Edition. Mine is 3 Years old and does the job like after i first unboxed it. It even survived excessive Diablo 3 sessions. ;)

I like dem 12 Buttons! Spells with keyboard? Pffft. A thumb is all i need!

After you get used to the size of the thumb buttons, you never wanna have something else. And the mouse itself is rather on the small size.

I can hit whatever button precisely.

Mouse: Razer DeathAdder, 5 years old and as good as new. If you need more buttons, go for a Naga.

Bought the Naga at launch because it seemed like the perfect mouse for ESO. At first it wasn't working too well for me, you know new thing to learn. After about 2 months of heavy ESO its like I had hoped. Cannot be a better mouse for ESO.

Have owned a number of Razor products, all still work after many years of heavy use. Including this keyboard.

Same experience as above, love the Razer Naga, but it's too big for my hand. So if your hand is on the small side you will probably only be able to reach nine buttons comfortably. That's plenty for me tho.

I purchases a Razr naga recently as well as my old trackball just wasn't doing it in PVP and the constant button pressing, typing, and what not were making my carpal tunnel act up.

After training myself on it for a week or so I can definitely say it's made me a better murdering jerk, and I haven't even touched them macro functions yet.

I have my wrist lie completely on my wrist rest and my hand rests on the top of the mouse. My pinky curls around the side of my mouse, sometimes resting on my mouse pad.

I use the Corsair M95 and it's my first gaming mouse. I chose it because I liked the button arrangement and how it provides a decent spot for my thumb to rest. I've been pleased with this mouse.

I'm using the Sharkoon Drakonia and it's the very best mouse I've had, along its Sharkoon mousepad which is also very nice. The mouse may not have zillions of hotkeys (6 keys in total) but those it has are all placed very well which makes all the difference to me regarding for example Razer. It is also crafted much more reliably (Razer mouses tend to have click issues after a year from my experience) - so I personally really couldn't be more satisfied.

As for keyboards, just in case, I'd highly suggest checking out the brand "Steelseries" and, again, personally I do recommend the "Merc Stealth" product from it. They have a seperate game-area to the left with all the important keys (customizeable ofc) in an angle that suits your natural left-hand position on a desk, allowing for a much speedier reaction once you are used to it.

Well it's my second keyboard from them and my spouse is using the very same one, another relative got another one of theirs and so far we've all been pretty happy. One thing to note however is that the "steelseries merc" and possibly other models are intentionally fairly heavy (so that they do not get shoved around even during hectic phases), just in case this would be an issue. So if you use it on a desk it works very well - but some people do put them on their legs or wherever else and it could prove to be a tad heavy for that for extended periods of time. I'd just hit up some reviews, it's how I found them originally as well.

I use the Razer Death Adder and I love it.

    1zxcab.jpg

The image makes it look larger than it really is. The entire mouse fits into the palm of my hand and my wrist is always resting on the desk. It's an extremely comfortable mouse with great performance.

Just picked up the naga hex that i ordered online, luckily the best buy near me had 1 left in stock. And omg what a difference from the g600. The naga hex is not as tall as the g600, so it feels so much better in my hands. The g600 felt like i was holding a brick!

    thanks for the advise guys.

I was asking about the steelseries because they have a mmo mouse also. I currently have a cooler master mechanical k/b, and its great. I also was using a cooler master mouse and it's great also, I just wish they made a mmo mouse. Cooler Master products have rock-solid build quality.

Would you mind elaborating a bit? I considered purchasing Logitech but then tried out Logitech and Razer at Best Buy and leaned towards the Razer but playing with a display model isn't like having the thing at home for a month or two to try it out. What specifically made you pick Razer over Logitech?
