Stop hating on sorc tele

People think tele is easy mode...half the time its death by tree or death by rock face or death by cliff or death by stairs. It would be nice if sorcs could just stand there to survive. Not realistic, but nice.

I mostly play a DK and imo there's nothing wrong with sorc teleport indeed. Sometimes they get away, sometimes they don't. Definitely doesn't need another nerf, that one. I'd bet that for a lot of people that mobility is something that makes playing a sorc fun, and in PvP it's their most crucial skill. Nerf it and what's left of them?

I dont know most sorcs when they're on their own or in any 1v1 situation they just blink away like cowards, I dont want to see it nerfed because its always fun seeing them desperately blink away, resulting in either escape, or death by blinking off a cliff or blinking into a tree.

How on earth did you miss half the time death by the various weapon or class charges.

The best (and worst) part about slotting a charge is that it often has general utility (not just for countering ~1/2 of sorcs' class defining abilities.)

Hm... will need some time what to choose now though. With the ult nerf in 1.6 a working Volatile familiar could be just as good... given, they eventually come to believe Sorcs could actually have some problems...

And of course you've got to know your target, some sorcs are very dangerous to chase. I don't know how many times our TS has been filled with yelling at newbs or puggles "don't chase him, don't chase....oh look, you're all dead."

Sorcs are my least fave bounty quest, because there don't seem to be many of them compared to other classes, and they have the tendency to flee before I can kill them. Good for them, few wouldn't use a "get the hell out of here" button if we all had one.

When on my sorc I'm the kind mentioned in the OP, more likely to bolt to my death off the rocks than to escape. I don't panic on my other toons, just on her. The tells I get indicate that I'm good for comedic value. Maybe someday I'll just be good.

They should just make pets either range or teleport to enemies. It would fix a lot of stuff.

I would rather they just replace the two summons with a tame daedra kind of skill.

Honestly I can't believe how much flak sorcs get for having almost an entire skill tree of borderline worthless skills.

Yes, all those useless skills like Velocious Curse and Hardened Ward that are never used by anyone, not even the worst sorc noobs.

I think most of the tree is there for solo PVE though, and I think they are making a lot of changes to that tree in 1.6.

Bolt Escape is the only ability sorcs really have, without it our class wouldn't be viable. Its a tough row now, as sorcs are much harder to be successful with because the margin of error is much smaller then with other classes.

Negate is our only real game changer, but is best utilized by groups and placed strategically.

Bolt escaping and running away don't give us any AP.

I notice most use Streak but IMO Ball Of Lighting is superior in every possible way.

BOL creates a shockwave around the caster that stuns targets, and then teleports you forward creating a Ball that absorbs all spell projectiles. Targets behind you are stunned, and most ranged attacks behind you get absorbed so its a more complete escape. BOL counters over half the skills used to counter it such as Shards, Binding Javelin, etc.

There are those that say BOL leaves trails to follow to track you down, but I don't use BOL to run away and hide stealth, I use BOL to reposition, stand behind my protection balls and deal damge at range. Outside of Velicious Curse other Sorcs have no spell attacks the balls wont absorb. Templar ranged spells are absirbed except spear shards you wont be in range for. Only bow attacks are really a threat behind your orbs.

Streak IMO is only better for the stealth sorc who does use it to run away and go stealth with vamp passives or gear for increased stealth movement speed to get away, but they are still easier to catch due to being vulnerable to Shards or Binding Javelin from behind, or being hit with Mages Wrath while trying to get that second streak off where with BOL they would have survived. The damage from Streak is negligible, and it loses the AOE stun for a disorient, any damage will break a disoreint, a stun must either wear off or be CC broken with a stamina cost.

If BOL wasn't an option, I probably wouldn't even morph the skill, if I really just couldn't handle the glowing balls, I'd just leave Bolt Escape unmorohed. The unmorphed version of Bolt Escape is better then streak due to the AOE stun behind you instead of a straight line in front of you offers better survivability. Just my 2 cents.

Yes folks need to stop crying about BE it takes thought and a lot of resources to use correctly. It is powerful to those who know how to use it for tacticful repositioning, running away is the least useful use of it IMO.

I don't care about BE sorcs.

They're annoying as f**k to kill and keep hassling groups, but I only get annoyed with them when they're complaining about the advantages that other classes have. Combined with block-casting and shield stacking they become some of the cheesiest players in the game, which is fine when they accept that other classes can be equally as cheesy.

I like streak better than ball. Ball is nice for dueling, but streak is better for bomb groups with the stun and ulti build. Ball is defensive; streak is offensive.

BTW streak can be decent damage, bumped into a NB yesterday, streak crit for 760, crushing shock crit for 700, mage's wrath and game over. Not every bow noob you streak though is running too little impen and 2.2k heath but it's always fun to insta-gib one!

BTW most classes have a lot of useless skills that never see the light of PVP. Sorc is not the exception but most classes have a few jewels in each class discipline as well and sorc is also not the exception to that.
